What Thief Game Do You Have The Strongest Connection With?

The first Thief game I played was Thief (2014) on PS4, but I recently picked up Thief Gold, and I’m really, really liking it so far.

I honestly didn’t expect a game from the late ’90s to feel this polished. It still feels rewarding and fair, and I really like how much the game expects you to figure things out for yourself and use the environment as a tool to complete the level.

What Do You Think Of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes?

I've never played Twin Snakes. I know it only released on GameCube, but I've played all the other MGS games, so Twin Snakes has always been one I wanted to experience.

I've wanted to play it for years, but the GameCube was never really my dominant console growing up, so I never got around to it.

For those of you who have played it, what do you think of The Twin Snakes?

What Makes Beyond: Two Souls Stick With You?

I played this back around 2016, and I think it was one of the free games on PSN at the time. I remember it reminding me a lot of Detroit: Become Human, obviously not exactly the same, but it gave me that same kind of interactive story feeling.

Once I actually got into Beyond: Two Souls, I couldn't put it down. I got so invested in the experience. There’s something about Jodie and Aiden’s relationship that stuck with me.

Do You Prefer Shadow Man 1 Or 2?

I’ll have to go with Shadow Man 2nd Coming

That’s the one I had on my PS2 growing up, and I remember it being confusing as hell sometimes. But I just loved the atmosphere, the vibe, and the themes throughout the game.

Which do you prefer and why?

What Turok Game Do You Have The Strongest Connection With?

For me, it’s definitely Turok Evolution. I played it on PS2, and it was one of the first games I really got into. I just fucking loved how different it was. You had dinosaurs, aliens, jungles, and some really violent combat.

I also played Turok on PS3 later on. I’m pretty sure it was the 2008 one. It definitely felt less prehistoric than Evolution, but I still had a lot of fun with it.

What Red Faction Game Do You Have The Strongest Connection With?

For me, it's definitely Red Faction 1. I've played all of them, but Red Faction 1 was the first one I played, and I have so many good memories with it. Something about the music, running through the mines late at night, fighting the mercenaries, and then dealing with those fucking rail guns just stuck with me.

What Comes To Mind When You Think Of Call of Duty: World at War?

For me, it's everything. I beat the campaign so many fucking times, played the shit out of Zombies, the map packs as they dropped, multiplayer, and co-op. But one memory that always comes back to me is downloading Der Riese when it dropped in 2009. It was taking forever to download, and I remember staying up all night because I couldn't fucking wait to play it.

I was so damn invested in this game. The campaign, multiplayer, co-op, Zombies all of it.

What Comes To Mind When You Think Of Doom Eternal?

For me, it's the Marauders. I'd been playing on Ultra-Violence and doing pretty well up until I started running into them. They forced me to completely adapt to how I was playing, and I didn't look anything up online. I just kept fighting them and figuring it out through trial and error until it finally clicked. Honestly, that made me appreciate the game a lot more.

Red Faction Guerilla: Do You Plan Destruction Or Just Destroy Shit?

Plan: explosives, structural weak points, charges.

Destroy Shit: sledgehammer, car, bullets, whatever's nearby.

Or both?

Do You Play Far Cry 3 For The Story Or The Open World?

Story: Characters, missions, Vaas, the narrative.

Open world: Exploring, outposts, hunting, crafting, messing around.

Or both?

Far Cry 3 Elaboration Needed

Bro, Far Cry 3 is one of those games I can play, replay, and not feel burnt out. I played it back in 2012 when I was like 10, and obviously I didn't really understand the deeper messages and all that, but playing it now, I actually get what they were doing.

Everybody loves Vaas. The whole definition of insanity thing, just fucking legendary. And even after playing it a bunch of times, I can still discover new shit in the story or notice things that I love. I really like the open world they created, too.

I just feel like they could have done more with the characters. Like, they spent all this time creating Vaas, Citra, Hoyt, the Rakyat, all these characters and ideas, but you don't really know who these people are. Vaas is fucking incredible, but I still walk away thinking, "Bro, who the fuck is Vaas?"

There's some backstory there, but I wanted way more of it. I wanted more time with these characters, more character development, more of the history of the island and the factions.

The game is clearly trying to say something about Jason enjoying the violence and becoming more attached to the island instead of just wanting to escape, and I love that shit. I just wish they had gone deeper with it.

That's really how I feel about Far Cry 3. I don't think the game is missing something necessarily, because I fucking love it. I just play it now and think, "Damn, I wish there was more he"
