I really love using the “Preview” feature in the browser on the Trinity VST to get a sense of each preset. Is there any way to do the same in the Triton VST? I was poking around with it today but couldn’t find anything. Closest was turning the “arp” button on, but that doesn’t seem to persist across all patches.
Always loved this track. One of the most fun collaborations Peter has done. Sounds really great live, too!
So cool! This is better quality than the PG YouTube channel has. It’s pretty pristine! Cool to see without the artifacts, but with all that early CG insanity. Also interesting to learn that the team who did this eventually went on to become Rockstar games, famous for GTA, Red Dead Redemption, etc.

Man, amazing version and performance. I love adore the emotion Peter weaves into this song. I love the album version, but I have to say this is a rare occasion where the song really takes on a life of its own in the live arena. And that life is even bigger, brighter, and emotional than the original. Wish they’d included this one on the New Blood album.
I finally decided to upgrade from 2024.10 to the latest version. I was slightly tempted by track pinning, but also I just spent some time reading all the changelogs for each intervening version and it seemed like they’d fixed a ton of bugs. One of the big ones was that change logs said they’d finally fixed Pro Tools crashing upon exit. That had been plaguing we with Pro Tools for quite a while. It never seemed to cause lasting damage to anything, but it just felt concerning and I always had to click away the “want to send a report?” dialog box after sending something the first time.
Kind of disappointing. I can’t help but feel like I should have double checked here or on the DUC before I spent my money yet again upgrading for a year. Here’s hoping I’ll get my money’s worth in the coming months.

I know I could likely google this, but if I were to, for example, have an Apollo 4x and hooked up a rack of the Focusrite Clarite Pres to it via ADAT, would I be able to put the UAD-2 plugins on those inputs in console? Or would it only be for the physical ins on the 4x! I imagine I certainly couldn’t use unison preamps, but could I apply some EQs/compressors/reverb-delays to them to track with in Console?

Been getting excited for the new song on Tuesday morning and have been trying to find songs I haven’t checked out in a long time. One of the big standouts in doing this was Cloudless. I love Sky Blue as it appeared on Up, but Cloudless is like a much more colorfully textured and epic feeling remix without Peter’s voice. It really shines a light on how great the music is and I love the vocals in it, too. There are lots of really cool, more vintage textures in there, too. The Up version is beautiful because all the sounds, even the more ethereal ones, are very grounded and organic. Cloudless leans more into the types of textures we heard from Peter in the 80s. Overall, it’s just a very beautiful emotional experience.
If you haven’t given it a listen in a long while, I highly recommend doing so. Some of his best work.
The new song typically appears at midnight in New Zealand’s Chatham Islands time zone. That was over 45 minutes ago. It’s now past midnight in New Zealand and still nothing.
Is there anyone living in New Zealand who could confirm that they’re also not seeing anything? I’m wondering if they figured out how to prevent us from VPNing in and listening via YouTube. The paranoia is strong this morning haha… but all the other tracks have been quite consistent.

I've been meaning to record a video to share my progress in recreating/reconstructing Lead a Normal Life from PG3/Melt for some time and tonight I'm feeling anxious to hear the new song, so decided to kill some time by finally doing a screen recording and adding some annotations to explain it.
Still very much a work in progress. No work done on the ending, need to record guitar, and need to try and recreate Peter's vocals (what you hear in the video is Peter's actual voice extracted from the album track). Having a lot of fun trying to recreate the song and capture the vibe of the original.
