Hoe ziet jullie haarroutine eruit? Tips gezocht

Dry brown lentils to canned?

I want to recreate a recipe that calls for 1 cup of dry brown lentils. Google tells me that one cup weighs around 200 grams (7 ounces). However, I've only been able to find canned brown lentils, with a 400 gram (15 oz) can yielding 260 grams (9 ounces) of lentils once drained.

I know that lentils soak up liquid during the cooking process, and I'm unable to find a definitive answer that states how many grams of dry brown lentils go into a can. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks!

How to use coarse cornmeal to make cornbread?

While in Italy I got some cornmeal with the intention of making polenta. After doing some more research, I found that you can also use cornmeal to make cornbread (which I've only eaten once before but absolutely loved), but that the type of cornmeal for cornbread is finer, whereas cornmeal used for polenta is generally more coarse.

I've done some Googling, but I've been unable to find a recipe that details how to use coarse cornmeal as a substitute for 'fine' cornmeal to make cornbread. I've read about soaking it in water beforehand or even using a blender, but I'm not sure about the best approach. Does anyone have a recipe, or any tips or suggestions? I'd appreciate any help! This is the cornmeal that I have, though it translates to 'flour for polenta' (assuming that's the same thing as cornmeal)

Activities to do with 35c, visiting Milan, other recommendations?

Hi all, we will be in Italy (specifically around Lake Como) for 2 more days (30-7 and 31-7) and have no set itinerary given the temperatures the next few days, which are expected to be around 36 celsius.
We were initially thinking about going to Milan for a day trip, but I think we might scrap this considering the temperatures there. Are we right to do this, or is Milan manageable with temperatures in the mid-30s? We were eager to visit some museums and cathedrals and learn more about Italy's history and culture in Milan (the towns here are lovely but can feel a bit overcrowded and superficial at times, but maybe that is just me). Does anyone have any recommendations about what we can do in this heat? As mentioned we're staying around Como and willing to drive 1,5hr. Would love to hear your recommendations, suggestions and other tips :)

Dolomites viewpoint/sightseeing recommendations?

Hi all, we are leaving the Dolomites on Sunday (26-7) after being here since Monday (20-7) and still have some free space in our schedule. Yesterday we visited Tre Cime and Cadini di Misurina, today we visited Lago di Braies and we're planning to see Lago di Sorapis tomorrow morning (well aware these are the most touristy places but we felt we couldn't skip them just because they are popular).

As a result, we can still visit some things tomorrow afternoon and on Saturday (24-7 and 25-7), although it seems the weather might not be great on Saturday. Are there any things you would recommend us to visit? We considered Alpe di Siusi and Seceda, but found the cable cars to be too expensive (and we're not sure we're ready to hike all the way up to Seceda the day after going to Sorapis).

I think we're still missing some viewpoints, as we haven't really stopped and enjoyed some of the classic views of some of the mountain groups so far besides Tre Cime and Misurina. Are there any viewpoints accessible by car (or a relatively cheap cable car) that would provide kind of a 'classic' view of the Dolomites? We don't mind walking a bit, but preferably nothing longer than 6 kilometers/4 miles in total. Thanks!

I attached some photos of some views of mountain ranges that we're kind of looking for if that makes sense!

Best IMAX theater?

What's the best IMAX movie theater we have in the Netherlands? I know Brussels has a 70mm IMAX one, but that's a bit too far for me. Travel distance within the Netherlands itself is no issue though. Which theater has the biggest screen/best laser quality/best sound?

250D vs 500T with 85 filter

i want to start shooting more vision3 film stocks, and have only ever shot a roll of 250d before, which i loved because of its cinematic quality. i'm currently considering buying some 500t, but i'm not sure yet.

i mostly shoot in daylight, and i recently found an 85C filter, which apparently is weaker than an 85B filter and may not fully correct its blue hue.

i also have another lens for which i do not have an 85 filter, so i may need to color correct the photos a bit, which i do not mind, although i'm definitely not a professional.

to achieve kind of a warm, cinematic look, which film stock would you recommend? would both be equally suitable? i'd likely shoot 500T with the 85c filter whereas i would just shoot 250D as is, and i think i'd shoot both at 200 ISO. would the results differ significantly? what are your preferences?

any update on Verita 200D?

i remember when kodak announced verita 200d and people were discussing whether it would become available for people and companies to respool it like they do with ektachrome and some vision3 stocks. after 2 months and still no third parties selling it for stills photography yet, is it safe to assume this will be a stock reserved exclusively for the motion picture industry?

[Q] Several questions about EFA & CFA

I have a few questions about EFAs and CFAs, and I haven't been able to find any clear answers yet, so I thought I'd ask them here. Hope I'm using the correct terminology, my apologies in advance if not.

  1. I used an established, unmodified scale to measure one of my control variables (9 'reflective' items across 3 subscales that are also reflective indicators of the latent construct). The 3 separate Cronbach's alphas are all marginal (just above .60), but the combined scale has an alpha above .80. Should I conduct a CFA, even if it's just for a control variable?

  2. To measure one of my other variables, I used 18 items across 3 subscales (6 items per subscale). An EFA, however, pointed out that some of the factor loadings for some items were extremely low (< .40). Can I simply remove these items? I am using a scale validated and developed by others, so it feels a bit odd to remove some items just because they didn't fit my specific dataset.

  3. As suggested by my supervisor, I carried out an EFA for another (already validated) scale to confirm that the data would have 3 factors, and to examine the extent to which one factor loaded onto the other. I subsequently conducted a CFA for these items and subscales (I am not developing or validating any scales myself, and this was recommended by my supervisor), and the model fit was quite poor. They then recommended that I go back to the EFA, to remove items with poor loadings (which I had not yet done), and to rerun the CFA to see if model fit improved. However, I read online that you can't conduct a CFA on the same sample as your EFA. To what extent does this apply to me? I just want to compare model fit before and after the removal of these items, and I'm not using the CFA for scale validation. I am not sure if this even makes sense theoretically, but it's for my thesis, and I think including a CFA would be a nice addition, even with the limitation that I used the same sample, for instance.

  4. Regarding yet another variable, I modified 6 items across 2 subscales (3 items each). These 6 items are reflective of the 2 subscales, but those 2 subscales are formative with regard to my variable of interest. How do I check the extent to which these items are reliable and valid? I checked the Cronbach's alpha for the 2 subscales already, but I'm not sure how to assess the fit of the 2 subscales in relation to the overall second-order factor. I tried recreating the model in Amos, but it wouldn't let me draw arrows from the 2 subscales to the latent variable. Does anyone know what I could do?

What is the Silver Slipper, actually?

TW ahead about topics relating to the Silver Slipper.

This is probably a really dumb question (and trust me I've paid attention to the episodes!) but I'm still a bit confused about what the Silver Slipper actually is and how it relates to trafficking. Please correct me if I'm wrong with the following assumptions. I'm European so maybe that has something to do with it too but I'm not sure.

It's quite evident that it's a strip club operated by Alamo, and although we don't know much about the dancers, most of them get some cash and seem to go home at the end of the day. When we're first introduced to Alamo in episode 1 we also see a bunch of women at his house. Are they all dancers too? Why are they there? It's also where we first meet Tisch, and we later find out she used to work at the Silver Slipper too. Why was the at Alamo's house if she works at the club? A lot of the dancers also seem to be using/abusing drugs too (most notably Angel), but I didn't really get that impression from Magick or Kitty? I know Rue called Magick an addict but I assumed she was being manipulative, but I've seen a lot of people call Kitty an addict too? Did I miss something?

Another thing that confused me was the things they're expected to do while working at the club. The first 3 episodes made it seem like it's 'just' a strip club (although a shady one at that, since they store a bunch of drugs as well, sell guns, and its obviously owned by Alamo), but in episode 4 we see that there are several guys paying to have sex with Kitty. Is this a regular occurrence at strip clubs? I thought that was just something that happened at brothels? I know some people call strippers sex workers, which implies they have sex for money, but that's not what they do by definition, is it? When I watched it with my parents (bad idea, I know) I mentioned being confused because I assumed they were just expected to dance (and strip, at times), but my parents said that having sex with customers is what strippers do as well?

It's also in the latest episode that people are saying that Rue is finally figuring out what she's really part of and contributing to, and that just doesn't really make sense to me. Why did it take Kitty getting assaulted for her to realize that? (To be fair I initially had no idea why Rue looked so shocked during this scene but then I read on Twitter that those guys used a bottle? I completely missed that, was it implied?) Rue obviously didn't know about Angel and what happened at that rehab (and we also still don't really know), but she was literally selling guns and talking about going legit - implying she knew that what she was doing was illegal and wrong.

TL;DR I guess I assumed the Silver Slipper was just a strip club but now I'm confused about what it actually is and how it relates to trafficking? Can anyone explain what's actually going on there?
