Looking for advice on what pressing of Discipline to get. I’ve only ever heard the original mix, but the standard dgm vinyl reissue slaps a bonus track at the end. I’m debating on the Steve Wilson mix, as it omits the bonus track, but I’ve never listened to it ever. Is it any good? To my ears, he did pretty good on something like Thick As A Brick.
I got a pair of DALI Sonik 3s at a discounted $900 CDN and an open boxed NAD D3020 V2 for $700 CDN. Jumping from only the Kanto YU4s to this is incredible. Only now looking for a new turntable to complete it.
I tried registering for Joel Bruneau's ECON111 class, but it wouldn't let me unless I added a tutorial class. I looked hard and couldn't find it, and pretty soon, his class was all filled. Is there even a tutorial class for that? I'm pretty bummed right now.
I truly believe that the mixing of an album is just as important as the contents of the music itself. Some albums, musically, sound incredible, but are held back by its mix. I personally think Cavalcade by black midi and Selling England by the Pound by Genesis are prime examples, but what do you think?
I have a pair of Dali Sonik 3 speakers, and am looking for a good set of speaker stands. I measured the tweeter height at around 24”-28”. My main concern is stability, as I would like to have the platter cover the 7.8 x 12.1 width and height, but I’m flexible with that. Any suggestions with a budget <$150 CDN?
I'm about to apply for parking, when I saw this. Preferrably, I'd like to be in Lot G, where Edward's is. Is this all they have for next fall/winter. or is this just the parking for the current spring/summer?
