Hey Funcom! Please fix the inventory dropping issue (on controller)

When I hold Y to drop something from my inventory, it doesn't just drop the item I selected, it drops a bunch of other stuff, too.

This is a really, really annoying bug and it's been here for the last year.

(Perhaps this happens for mouse and keyboard players too but I only play on controller personally so I'm not sure)

Plz fix, thx <3

Funcom! Please let us collect our Lansraad rewards from Arakeen/ Harko

Please let us collect our rewards from one person/ machine/ whatever (instead of having to hunt down every individual house representitive.)

Half the time I can't even remember which house member's I need to visit if I forgot to write down the names!

Thx <3

They did it. They finally FINALLY improved the stutter.

Yo! It's me, The Anti-Stutter guy (TASG) back once again...

I have been vocally SCREAMING about stutter on here for a long time, post after post. I am in genuine disbelief, and very excited to say that this patch makes a night and day difference to performance. FINALLY!!!

And guess what, it turns out I was correct all along, PSO caching was to blame!

https://otakukart.com/dune-awakening-releases-new-client-update-to-reduce-pso-stutters/

Traversal stutter is absolutely still there, no doubt, but it has been MAJORLY reduced. I'm genuinely SHOCKED at how much better it feels now. Testing on the busiest EU server, low pop sietch (but still tons of bases everywhere).

Literally can not believe I'm saying this but combat stutter was virtually non-existent in my testing so far. I've got a bunch more testing to do, but this is DEFINITELY a step in the right direction.

I'm seriously considering returning to the game! More testing to do first, but it's looking genuinely promising for the first time. Hopefully Funcom will iron out the traversal stutter next. I'll be posting again soon after some more testing. (All testing so far has been done on an RTX 4090, 4K resolution, all graphics fully maxed out, DLSS Quality).

I had fun playing the game today, for the first time in a LONG time. Actual FUN!

More of this please and I'll shout even louder Funcom! THANK YOU!!!

Battery draining while connected to portable monitor

I have a portable monitor and when I'm using it I can see that my RG477M is charging, but if I'm playing 3DS games for example my RG is draining quicker than it's actually gaining any actual charge.

Is this normal? I'm using a 45W plug which should be more than enough to power my monitor and the RG477Mas far as I know.

I've tried running games on balanced mode, and lowering the brightness of the portable monotor but it still drains quicker than it can charge.

Any help is hugely appreciated!

Display always on when charging

Does anybody have a fix for this? I'm not looking to burn my display. I'm not sure if this issue effects stock OS or not as I'm on Gamma OS myself.

I've tried going into developer settings and making sure "device always on when charging" is disabled. I've tried adjusting screen time out settings as well just on the offchance it would work, but this makes no difference.

Bluetooth Controller Issues (Please help!) | RG477M

Having some issues with my RG477M on Gamma OS.

UPDATE:

I found a solution, it's not ideal but it works. Here it is for anyboy else having the same issue:

  • Turn on "swap ABXY" in Gamma OS.
  • Now map every single system backwards, so that button A is button B, button B is button A, X is Y, and Y is X.
  • Keep the swap ABXY setting enabled always
  • Now your controller and RG477M will have parity. If you press X on your handheld it will act the same as if you pressed it on the controller.

Downside: I had to change ES-DE and Retroarch to use B for forward/enter and A for back, which is the opposite of what I'm used to. It really sucks having to relearn the muscle memory, but I'd rather this then having to remap controlls every time I want to play in docked mode with a controller.

Important note: There is a setting in ES-DE that allows you to map menu controls. There is an option in Retroatch that allows you to flip A/B menu controls in Retroarch too.

ORIGINAL ISSUE:

When I use my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller over Bluetooth, the face buttons get flipped. Using the "Swap ABXY" option does absolutely nothing to the controller, (it only effects the RG477M's controls).

In Retroarch, the controller doesn't show up. Only one device shows up. The device that shows up is called "Xbox Wireless Controller", but this is actually the RG477M itself (as this showed up long before I ever decided to use my controller over Bluetooth.)

If I go to Input>Android Disconnect Workaround and enable it, then restart my RG477M, I can see "Xbox Wireless Controller #1" and "Xbox Wireless Controller #2" but I am completely unable to map them independently no matter what I try. If I try to reserve one of them, say controllers 2 for example, Retroarch will either crash or set it to "Xbox Wireless Controller" (aka the RG477M). It will not let me reserve the second controller no matter what I do.

This issue effects my device globally, when I am om the home screen the buttons are also flipped.

This is incredibly frustrating as I can't use HDMI/ docked mode with my Xbox controller. I don't want to have to remap every control for every system whenever I want to play on my TV, and I certainly don't want to have to do the same thing for the RG477M's controls after disconnecting from the TV either.

Any help would he HUGELY appreciated!

Gamma OS vs Stock OS | Battery Test Results

(NOTE: Originally posted on r/RG477M but the RG477V has basically the exact same hardware, so I'm posting this here now too!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QUEST:

I'm trying to figure out if there's any difference with battery drain rate between Gamma and Stock, and I need your help to compile the data!

...I will be editing/ updating my findings on here (and on my original post) continuously once I've gathered enough data. Thanks to everybody who has contributed so far! If you own an RG477V (or RG477M) and would like to help the community, please download 3DMark from the Play store and run the "Wild Life Stress Test" using THESE EXACT SETTINGS specifically:

- Max Performance, Max fan, Max brightness, 120Hz

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please use the following template to share your results:

Device:
OS Version:
RAM Variant:
Performance Mode:
Fan Settings:
Brightness:
Refresh Rate:
Starting Battery:
Ending Battery:
Total % Drop:
3DMark Best Loop Score:
3DMark Stability Score:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...Please make sure you're running "Wildlife Stress Test" specifically, (and not the extreme versions, or the version that's just called "Wildlife", and be sure to include any relevant details if applicable! (RAM, OS, refresh rate, etc.) Any help is HUGELY appreciated! <3

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's what I've gotten so far:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MY OWN TESTS (RG477M):

- From 71% to 49% (22% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 100%/ Max Fan]

- From 100% to 81% (19% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 100%/ Max Fan/ 120Hz]

- From 74% to 52% (22% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 100%/ Max Fan/ 60Hz]

- From 50% to 25% (25% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Balanced Perf/ Brightness: 50%/ Fan on Auto/ 120Hz]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OTHER REDDITORS TESTS (RG477M):

- From 100% to 84% (16% drop) [Gamma OS/ 8GB/ Balanced Perf/ Brightness 50%/ Fan on Auto]

- From 100% to 91% (9% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/Max Perf/ Brightness 60%]

- From 97% to 79% (18% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness 50%/ 120Hz/ Max Fan]

- From 73% to 70% (3% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Power Saver/ Brightness 1%/ 60Hz/ Fan Off]

- From 69% to 65% (4% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Power Saver/ Brightness: 100%/ ???Hz/ Fan Off]

- From 64% to 40% (24% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf (need to clarify)/ Brightness 1%/ ???Hz (Probably 120, need to clarify)/]

- From 39% to 14% (25% drop) [Gamma OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 1%/ 60Hz/ Max Fan]

- From 96% to 85% (11% drop) [Stock OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 100%/ Max Fan]

- From 100% to 80% (20% drop) [Stock OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 28%/ 120Hz]

- From 66% to 55% (11% drop) [Stock OS/ 12GB/ Balanced Perf/ Brightness: 28%/ 120Hz]

- From 36% to 25% (11% drop) [Stock OS/ ??GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 100%/ Note: Repeated multiple times, always dropped by 11% for this user]

- From 100% to 85% (15% drop) [Stock OS/ 12GB/ Max Perf/ Brightness: 100%/ Max Fan

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTES:

- One user who has 2 devices, (one stock, one Gamma), stated that they can see no difference between stock and Gamma OS drain rate.

- Other users have stated that they believe there is a significant difference (hence the testing!)

- Remember the more data we can pool together, the better! If you can contributed please do. If you can run the test multiple times, that's very helpful here, (especially if you happen to have 2 devices, one with stock and one with Gamma!)

- As of 12/06/26 after analyzing the results so far is that there probably isn't much of a difference between the battery drain on stock vs. on Gamma OS, but the more we have the easier it will be to say for sure. If you agree/ disagree and have thoughts on this please leave a comment below!

Battery testing - Please help! (Gamma OS vs Stock)

UPDATE:

Please see my latest post where I have shared my findings so far.

I'm working on some tests to figure out which has better battery performance, Stock OS or Gamma OS. But I need a little help from you, the community!

...So I ran the regular "Wild Life Stress Test" on my RG 477M (12gb RAM/ Gamma OS) using the Max Performance profile with full brightness. As far as I can remember I had the refresh set to 120. (When I'm compiling data I'll make a note for sure next time!)

My results:

Battery went from 71% to 49% (22% drop)

...Can somebody please test this on their RG477M (Stock OS) and let us know your results?

Or even if you're on Gamma, that would also be useful data to have! The more data the better, and I can compile some results then.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll gladly repeat the tests, and am willing to work back and forth here to try and get some empirical data.

Just trying to figure out whether or not I should go through the headache of moving over to the stock OS. Seems like a lot of hassle, but if the battery drain is substantial on Gamma then perhaps it's worth it.

I've heard anecdotal reports that Gamma OS drains the battery faster than stock but I couldn't find any definitive testing on this so I figured why not do some myself!

Also... A little side quest: are any of you on stock experiencing the frame pacing stutter? (Trying to figure out if this is a Gamma OS exclusive.)

FINAL WORDS:

Please make sure youre running "Wildlife Stress Test" specifically, (and not the extreme versions, or the version just called "Wildlife").

Any help from the community is hugely appreciated!
