I recently was gifted a a chameleon that’s in pretty bad shape besides the frame. Gears, brakes and chainring were pretty rusted and the wheels are FUBAR. I’ve tried scanning the QR code under the BB but didn’t take me anywhere. Is there any way I can check the serial number to check if it is real? If it is, is it worth restoring or better off selling? I’ve been wanting a mountain bike to go on rides with my brother.

Seller wants 7k for this wagon. It has 305k miles. It is pretty clean all around, has had the head gasket replaced along with new brakes and suspension. I love this body style but don’t know if 7k is worth a car that has 300k miles. What would be a reasonable offer?

On CL. Owner is asking for 3450. Has 88k miles. Timing belt was done last year along with the head gasket, water pump and clutch. He has service records for the timing but not the other fixes but says he has pictures of it getting done. Interior is clean but outside has some rust in the quarter panel and some dings here and there. I’m sure I can talk him down a bit but was wondering if this car would be a money pit.

What are your guys’ thoughts on this? I will be trading in my 2013 Prius with similar miles plus 1k. I no longer need the Prius since my commute is only 10 miles a day and don’t use it during the weekend. I’m not going to drive it hard, I just really like this body style and have always wanted one.
