Plug in solar export question

Am currently with EDF in UK, I don't have a smart meter yet. Am looking to get plug in solar when it becomes legal this month, if I get a smart meter will that "just work" with getting export credit or is other hardware required?

Using ODB port for dashcam power

I have a Yaris Hybrid, am thinking of getting an ODB power adapter to run my dashcam from so it can record when parked.

Are there any issues doing this as my car only has a small 12V battery?

I know the adapter and dashcam should shutdown if the battery gets low.
