I got a programmable bell for my bicycle where I can play AI text-to-speech audio randomly. What audio would most probably make any Japanese person laugh?

I want to make the experience fun and absolutely non-confrontational.

🚲 POTTERING MEETUPS GROUP📍Anywhere in the Greater Tokyo Area 🗓 On Weekends/weekdays ⚠️ Minivelo or folding bikes only

🤔 WHAT’S “POTTERING” ———————

In cycling, pottering (often referred to in Japan as potaringu or ポタリング) refers to a leisurely, aimless, and relaxed ride on a bicycle, similar to a "stroll" or a "putter" on two wheels. It is distinct from competitive cycling or high-intensity training, focusing instead on enjoying the surroundings, casual sightseeing, and maintaining a low-effort pace.

Key aspects of pottering in cycling include:

・Relaxed Pace: It involves riding slowly to enjoy the atmosphere, often with no time limit.

・Casual Purpose: It is often described as "cycling around," "strolling," or "exploring," rather than commuting or exercising.

・Flexibility: It allows riders to stop whenever they feel like it, making it ideal for sightseeing or photography.

・Japanese Context (ポタリング): The term is widely used in Japanese cycling culture to describe a leisurely, enjoyable ride, often on mini-velos (small-wheeled bikes) or folding bicycles.

In essence, pottering is about taking a comfortable, slow-paced bike ride to enjoy the journey, often for short, close-to-home excursions and visits of cafes/restaurants.

Currently based in Tokyo but ready to move anywhere in Japan.

The community I have in mind would promote healthy lifestyle, concentrating on doing various sports together while socializing. It would happily welcome any older generation.

I have tried multiple meetup platforms in the past but I found they are a complete waste of time because people are way too hesitant to go from online to offline, most people see meetups as a way to try something new when they have no other options (not a priority), they will join only to meet new people, the activities themselves being low priority and the online crowd is primarily made of people mostly loving indoor activities such as board games, parties etc.

So now I’m considering a totally different approach: starting exclusively offline at a location with high potential (meaning with an already existing bonding community where words of mouth would be efficient enough, and where the landscape/infrastructure would allow plenty of different sports).

My questions:

  1. What locations in Japan would you recommend?

  2. Can municipalities usually provide assistance to people with such projects?

  3. What’s the most friendly/extrovert place in Japan in your opinion?

Any other opinion also welcome!
