I ran up to him after this video and told him to stop. He reluctantly left after I said I had called fish and wildlife. I waited at the beach watching him for a good hour, but he just disappeared down the other side of the beach. Fishing and wildlife never showed up.

*edit- I took out the description of the dude cause I’m not trying to actively ruin some guy’s life for genuine ignorance.

The fish and wildlife officer who I talked with definitely felt defeated learning that I had no specific information on him.
Ultimately, all marine mammals are protected and whether or not they’re happy and healthy or they look sick or they injured. There’s always a phone number to call and professionals to deal with the animal in question.
