Dear Tangle: your provocative title burned the bridge you helped build

Tangle grievance: why'd you have to give that piece about the pledge such a triggering title? My dad cancelled because of it. Tangle was our bridge and gave us some common ground but it's gone now. I know it's not all your fault but that was an exceptionally provocative title and many sensitive readers on the right probably were offended by it, gotta imagine you received a deluge of flagged wrapped hate mail. I know we strive to be a big tent place and maybe that's a little rage baity for Tangle.

Edit more context:
I'm referring to the opinion article from 8/7/2026 "I don’t pledge allegiance to the flag - Because if I did I wouldn't mean it."

HFM last month, croup all week, and heard noro is spreading in his school today

And he just had a diarrhea poop and said his tummy hurt. God dammit my family can't catch a break. All these illnesses are seriously tearing me apart. I get all of them and my symptoms are always the worst.

I hate feeling so pathetic in just at the end of my rope

FYI "Punching the Flowers", new from Death Cab For Cutie sounds great on a good system

My 2 cents, but I listened to this new track and really loved the instrument separation. The recording feels really clean. Caught my ears in a way rock doesn't usually. My desk system is Gen 1 LS50s and a Fosi ZA3.

MM glass-lined carafe, anybody's NOT explode long term?

I want to upgrade my original tapered KBT carafe and I'd like to get the newer glass lined model, but I can't figure out how big of an issue shattering is under normal use cases. Surely it's a minority issue right? How many people out there have been using a year+ with zero issues?

Edit: I went ahead and ordered one. It is SHOCKING how often these expensive things break, though. wtf?

Purchased on Saturday and served on Thursday evening. Overall, pretty good! The tortillas seemed about the same as the chicken taco kit, no complaints there.

It comes with two liquidy sauces: one is some sort of white cream sauce tasting vaguely of sour cream, the other is like a chipotle cream. It also came with a fresh mango salsa.

The mango salsa was surprisingly fresh and nice! The liquid sauces were a bit too liquidy, but they tasted good together. Spicier than expected and I'm not sure which one contributed the most to the spiciness.

The fish itself smelled...familiar in an unappetizing way...but actually tasted really good. It tasted fresh and well seasoned and the texture was pretty decent. They recommended heating in a non-stick on med-high for 2 min but that wasn't really possible because at that temp it evaporates the liquid really quick, try med-low instead.

Not bad, could use some crunch e.g. some shredded green cabbage or something. Also, like 30% more fish would help. Would eat again, but prob not going to become a weekly staple. I could see myself grabbing again on a whim in a couple months.
