I like that the characters that you make for the halloween storylines are visible in the playthrough :) I wish the characters you design in the career path come back in the same way.
I put her on a stand that came with one of the live action Little Mermaid dolls, and I think the blues are a decent color match.
I might buy a second one day as time takes its toll on her, as this is one of my favorite Barbies ever made, but I love holding her out of her box.
This is a very niche question, but I am a huge fan of April Cornell and love shopping there during their summer sales. An associate mentioned to me that they’re doing a tent sale this week, and that a lot of old inventory/samples/deadstock will be put out onto the floor.

Yes, her box is clean. Yes, she has plenty of opportunities to play and get her energy out. She is just an opportunist, and beyond initial frustration, I cannot bring myself to be mad. We’ve cleaned up the leak, are buying another box in addition to our initial two, and are keeping a closer eye on her.

He has gotten flack for filming a group of minors during a video where he was recording an ambulance arriving for a BSD student, and consequently has been trespassed from all Burlington School District properties for filming students. He has recently been asked to leave City Hall for showing up with little to no agenda other than filming employees or demanding staff speak with him.

I bought this Paragon Iguana on Marketplace for $1,500 - it came with a vent and furniture. A new one of these runs for $6,000+ with all of the bells and whistles. My eyes just about bugged out of my head when I saw it listed and I’m still pinching myself and can’t believe I snagged it.
It’s an older kiln for sure (manufactured in Feb 2009, so she’s a teenager) but the interior is pristine and so are the elements. I need to open the fusebox and check that out, and do a test firing, as the guy selling it wasn’t a ceramic artist and clearly didn’t know how to test it himself… but regardless if it needs some repairs, this is a dream come true. I’ve been searching for an affordable used kiln for 4+ years at this point.

we live in a very liberal city where an offense as basic as that can get you chewed out or posted about online. bf said he was cutting me off for making that comment. my defense was that i was not drunk and felt comfortable saying that because it was a ticketed fourth of july event at some seafood place on the water, which didn’t seem like it would be a wokescold hotspot. this seemed to convince him.
I have a relative, an in-law, who is a hobbyist cook and has a gorgeous collection of Kramer x Zwilling knives. Around 3-5 years ago now (I was a high schooler) I used one of them and ran her through the dishwasher (I know, genuinely so stupid, I don’t know what I was thinking. I was inexperienced at the time especially when it came to knives). My relative was understandably very upset and his wife (my bio aunt) and I were shaken up and upset to the point where I offered to buy him a new one. I did, and as a gift he gave me the dishwashed one, as he knows that I was a fledgling cook and (at the time) new to the industry. I was geeked and used it for home use.
Fast forward two years later, and a relative somehow broke the tip off of the knife. I was sad, but don’t know anything about how to save knives… so for the past six months I’ve been using it in my garden to cut weeds and also to slice and break down boxes with ease. I feel guilty but at the same time this is the best “utility” knife I’ve ever had 💀

Expectations, My Way, and Stupid Song are my favorites on the record. I like Purple, like The Cure, and Less is growing on me, but I’ve found the other songs unlistenable. Maybe it’s because I read the lyrics first. Does anyone else feel this way? I really want to like the ballads but find them to be a bit of a drag
Not even trying to draw a “copying” comparison between the two songs, as I don’t think they’re that similar.
However, My Way did *immediately* made me think of Gossip, and sure enough, when I put them in a playlist, they have very similar BPMs and are in the same key. Perfect for a mashup.
I’m glad both of them got out of that relationship. Listening to Maggots for Brains and Purple makes me realize how immature and possessive and codependent *both* of these people were, over a partner who hadn’t even been in their lives for that long. The fact that her bf was getting mad over people she hangs out with is controlling and weird, and the entire Maggots song just shows how much of her energy she was pouring into that relationship…. and nothing else. Not friends, not work, not social stuff. Super unhealthy and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was shocking and upsetting to her ex, seeing the seemingly independent and fierce artist that he fell for fall apart when he went away for work, and completely submerge herself in that relationship. Feeling like you need to be present just for your partner to be held together is a huge emotional toll, especially as a twenty something.
I really hope that Olivia works on her issues with self worth, comparison to other people, and unfettered jealousy. She’s self aware about it, so that’s the first step, but it’s been three albums now that really hammer in how intense and consistent these feelings are. If she ever wants to have a relationship where she won’t be insecure and pretty sad for someone so in love, she needs to work on this, and make it her priority as much as the relationship she was in was. I’m totally sure that she has done this work, she is intelligent, the daughter of a therapist, and has her own private life. But Cigarette Smoke as a closer bums me out as it doesn’t seem to imply any lesson has been learned or that she’s any reflection on *why* her ex didn’t want to be with her anymore suddenly, just that he’s an asshole for ending things.

My front tooth chipped the other night because of severe teeth grinding that has been an issue since I was a toddler (my Mom used to come into my bedroom and find my 1.5 y/o self grinding and gnashing her teeth in her sleep). The chip is, ah… bad, to say the least! Super noticeable when I talk, and definitely noticeable when I run my tongue along my teeth and feel a sharp point where it used to be a perfectly intact lateral incisor. I have an “emergency” (lol) appt 20 days from now bc healthcare in my state is fucked. I’m dreading my customer-facing work in the meantime. I get tipped based on how pretty I am, and this chip makes me look significantly less charming.
In the past, I’ve used custom-made mouth guards from my dentist, that have helped to some extent but cause my jaw to hurt upon waking, which makes me question if it’s actually helping my teeth and caused me to stop using them. I’ve tried to cut back on sugar recently but it clearly isn’t helping and I feel like a POS saying this but I am far too vain to be visibly missing teeth. Idk what to do anymore. I obsessively brush and floss and these mfs are still breaking 😭
i have a relative who was a y2k juicy collector, and she mentioned that she used to buy a specific clear sealant/fabric protector, that stopped the pockets in her juicy bags (the ones that say “Shop!”, “Hello?”, “JUICY Kiss!” etc) from flaking off. Does anyone have experience coating their juicy bags in some sort of protectant or sealant that stops their bags from flaking the pleather on the pockets? I’d love to know as someone who is constantly adding 2000s to 2015s bags to my collection and dealing with the flaking across the board 😔
