Is this sebderm?

Hello,

I usually get sebderm on my hair (flareup every 5/6 weeks) nd occasionally on my brows. Sometimes it travels to my temples but this time, only my forehead and temples got this rash while my hair is completely unflared. So it got me questioning, is this sebderm or sth else? I can't think of a new product I used on that area specifically.

Palestenian refugee visiting

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend is a Palestinian refugee. He was born and raised in South Lebanon and has been living in Europe for about 10 years. He's now a recognized refugee in Belgium and has Belgian refugee travel documents (not Belgian citizenship yet).

He really wants to visit his family in Lebanon, but he's worried that entering Lebanon with his Belgian refugee travel document could create problems later when he applies for Belgian citizenship.

He's wondering if it would be possible to travel to another European country first (for example Germany) using his Belgian travel document, then use his Palestinian passport to fly to Lebanon instead.

Would Belgium be able to find out about this later? Could it affect his future citizenship application? Do you know anyone who has done this before and didn't face any issues?

Also, for those who are currently in Lebanon or have visited recently, how safe is South Lebanon these days? I'm honestly quite worried about him, but he misses his family a lot and doesn't want to lose the chance to see them.

Thanks in advance for any advice or personal experiences.

Docs recent enough?

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for a Belgian student visa (Type D) on July 8, and I have a question about my supporting documents.

I'm currently employed, so I'm submitting my payslips as proof of my professional situation. However, my employer has only been able to provide my March, April, and May payslips. My June payslip isn't ready yet because of administrative processing, and obviously July won't be available by the time of my appointment.

Will this be an issue? It's completely outside of my control, and I'm still employed.

I also have another question regarding my bank statement. I requested a 6-month bank statement on June 23, but my visa appointment is on July 8. Is that statement still considered recent enough, or should I request a new one before my appointment?

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Do you think I should try to get an updated bank statement, or is the June 22 one perfectly fine?

Thanks in advance!

Lindt

I've been craving some lindt dark chocolate lately but can't seem to find it on Lidl. I'm seriously considering going to Brussels just to buy some lol so where can I find them on here?

Do translated documents expire?

I want to apply for schengen visa by the end of the year and thought about starting the prep from now, like translating property documents and such. Do they have a time limit?

Please review my student visa cover letter

The erased word in all the paragraphs is my country.

Anything missing? I deliberately didn't include all the enclosed documents as it would make the letter too long, and I feel like it is already long as it is.

I tried to keep it as personalised as possible.

Thank you in advance!!

Family appointment

Hello,

We're applying together (parents + 2 adult children), and my father will be sponsoring all of us financially. However, several agencies are telling us that we have to book separate appointments on different days, even though we are submitting as one family group.

Is this actually required? Or is there a way to book an same-day appointment on the same day and time so we can submit our applications together?

It just seems more logical to go at the same time since our files are linked (same sponsor, same travel plan, etc.), so I'm wondering if agencies are just saying this because of availability or if it's an official rule.

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who applied as a family. Thanks.

Employed or unemployed?

Hi everyone,

I’m a bit confused about how to present my situation for a Belgium student visa (1 year master's program) and would really appreciate some advice.

I’ve been working as a teacher for about 6 years (stable job, official employment), but I’ve seen some people say that applying as “employed” can sometimes complicate a student visa file and delay the processing, or make it look less consistent with the study plan.

On the other hand, I do have a blocked account with around €13k, so financially I meet the requirements.

So I’m wondering:

Is it better to apply as employed (and show my work history), or as unemployed to keep the file more “student-focused”?

For context, I’m planning to study in Belgium and my goal is genuinely academic, but I don’t want to unintentionally weaken my application.

Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!!

Is a cover letter needed when applying for student visa?

Hello,

As the title suggests, I want to apply for a student's visa (type D) next year and was wondering whether I should write one or not? Just want to make things rights and avoid messing anything up.

Thanks.

Cover letter.. necessary?

Hi all :)

I'm applying for a tourist visa to Belgium with my parents and my little sibling who is a university student. My passport is basically empty (only 2 UK visits in 2015 & 2018, but I know UK doesn’t really count for Schengen).

I’m currently working full-time in pharma with a stable job, but my dad will also be my sponsor since he has stronger finances (multiple properties, etc...)

My main destination is Belgium, but I might also travel to Sweden while I’m there (not 100% sure yet).

So my questions are:

  1. Is a cover letter necessary/recommended in my case?

  2. Should I mention the possible Sweden trip even if it’s not fixed yet?

  3. Do my parents (and sibling) each need to write their own cover letters too, or is one family cover letter enough?

Thanks a lot in advance ♡♡

Which passport should I apply with?

SalamuAlaykum!

I'm a 30M Palestenian refugee who legally lives in Belgium and possesses belgian refugee travel documents (I will obtain the citizenship in two years inshaa Allah). I would like to ask for a tourist visa to Turkiye but I'm not sure with which passport I should apply. I tried applying to Tunisia and Algeria months ago with the refugee travel docs but didn't hear from them, so I'm wondering whether I should try my luck with the Palestenian passport this time. Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks.

Driving schools recs

Hi everyone,

I just passed my theory driving test and I’m now looking to start practical lessons. I live near Borgerhout, so I’d prefer something nearby, but I’m mainly looking for a driving school that’s affordable and good.

If anyone has recommendations or personal experiences with schools in the area, I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance 😊

Islamic marriage - Foreigners

Hi everyone,

I’m Algerian and my fiancé is Palestinian (refugee with legal papers) living in Belgium. He got his visa rejected to visit Algeria sk we are planning to do umrah and meet in Saudi Arabia to do the Islamic marriage (عقد القران / الفاتحة) with our families to keep things halal for now, then do the civil marriage later in Belgium.

Are there any legal requirements we should be aware of in these countries for an Islamic marriage (papers, registration, etc.)?

And can any imam from a mosque perform the عقد القران, or does it need to be done through an official authority?

Any advice or experiences would really help 🙏

Hi, I've been doing LHR on my legs (Lutronic clarity 2) for almost a year and starting from my 5/6th session I notjced these faint pimples (which look like old mosquito bites on my legs) which won't disappear even after exfoliation/moisturisation. I used to have airbrushed legs (after shaving ofc) prior to doing laser so this is definitely bugging me (I'm north african with black hair so the laser is working wonders on me). Is this reaction normal and is it due to laser at all? Keeping in mind that my twin sister (who started around the same time as me) is also having similar reaction on her legs. We're doing laser on other areas (lower arms, underarms and bikini) but it's only on legs that we got these pimples. If anyone went through this, please let us know what needs to be done!

Thanks!!
