Genuinely?? Wtf venti rant
What is up with drive times?? I know they’re important so people aren’t waiting for forever but sometimes it’s unreasonable. God forbid someone has to wait an extra minute or two, especially later in the day
I was ringing and dinging (taking orders and cashing them out) and yeah, the times weren’t great. Our register is broken, so we kind of had one screen. One person solo baring and making backups because they were instructed to. I have a restriction atm so all I can basically do is ring and ding. Later on I’m told that I could ask another coworker or manager for help if we need it (I didn’t think we needed it, I was trying to help and thought we were fine). Manager comes back later, informs me it’s not fine and is annoyed. Like bro, there’s only so much I can do. One coworker was in the back. And we have someone training on ovens. I can’t force them to go faster??
My point is, is that as the person taking orders and cashing people out the time has somewhat to do with how fast I take to take orders and ring people up, but I rely on everyone else to be fast. It takes time for the customers to order (especially if they don’t know what they want), making drinks, making food, people asking questions at the window while trying to take someone order at the same time (and vise versa), rude customers, needy customers, customers forgetting to add something then orders it at the window, and much more. ITS NOT JUST ME!! Why does no one get that? Why do I get the blame?? I hate this job.
Edit - how silly of me, I forgot to add customer connections, how can I when I have to get them out as fast as possible?!?!
