I HATE the decline of trams

I LOVE trams. They are by far the superior rapid transit method they:

- can have high capacity
- can be retrofit into roads with relative ease
- their infrastructure is not obstructive to cars OR pedestrians OR bikes
- can be used as streetcars, fast shuttles, or light rail
- make little noise compared to other transport
- are better to the environment than other transport
-Look really cool

WHY DO WE HARDLY USE TRAMS ANYMORE. GIVE US TRAMS BACK

Just finished reading the book

Firstly I don't read much fiction nowadays (although this is less fiction-y than most because of historical detail) and wow it was good. The setting, the characters, and all of the deaths were superb (especially Fitzjames, goodsir, blanky, hickey, and the man left behind at rescue camp, his name i cannot recall). I didn't really feel the book dragged on at all to be honest.

The ending was very surreal (maybe not bad but certainly very tonally different from the rest of the book, which was quite a shock)

But please Dan stay away from writing any woman ever because the platypus pond thing and every description of silna were fucking awful

Phaecians and Narrative

Are the phaecians going to be in this movie? I haven't seen anything about them and I would hope that one of the most important parts of the story wouldn't be cut.

Also if they aren't there, for those who have seen it, in what order does the narrative play out? If it's linear with just cuts between Odysseus and Ithaca it would be a shame. The phaecians do so much setup for having the narrative being told in an interesting way.

Is there like no mainstream epic criticism online?

For something this big you would imagine it to attract a lot of criticism, especially considering such is being gathered by other retellings such as tsoa and nolan's odyssey. Does everyone who listens to this really love epic this much? >!Coming from a person who dislikes epic if thats relevant !<
