Marketing professionals who got hired from outside CA directly- what worked?

Hey fellow marketer,

I'm curious about what factors actually impact getting hired directly from outside CA, and continuing your career path in Canada.

I've heard about the need for prior canadian experience as a major bottleneck to actually land interviews.

Sharing what worked in your case, especially if you managed to land the interview from outside canada would be super insightful.

Thanks!

How legit is the need for "canadian experience" for getting jobs in Canada, especially modern day jobs in tech, marketing, etc.

Just curious since I've heard it from many peeps but would love to get real feedback & experiences from immigrants. Thanks!

Vietnam trip in September

Hello folks,

I'm going to Vietnam from Aug 30 to Sep 29 (30days)

I'm aware of the pleasant weather up north. But I really want to visit central vietnam and stay at Da Nang, Hue, Phong Nha.

But I'm conscious of the rainy season.

Looking for some insights for planning a good trip overall and how should I divide my stays.

My tentative plan is as follows:

Aug 30 to Sep 7 - Arrive t Hanoi, stay at Hanoi, visit Halong Bay

Sep 7 to 16 - Stay at Da Nang

Sep 16 to 18 - Stay at Hue

Sep 18 to 21 - Stay at Phong Nha

Sep 21 to 23 - Stay at Ninh Binh

Sep 23 to 26 - Stay at Sapa

Sep 26 to 29 - Back to Hanoi, depart from Hanoi

Thank you very much!

Which European country is realistically the best for countrylife for an expat?

Should I still consider Europe for countrylife dream?

It's been a dream for me to buy acres of cheap land, build or renovate a house, and start living the homestead lifestyle.

But is it still worth it, realistically on all fronts?

\\- is it still possible to find acres of land for cheap?

\\- are locals still welcoming to foreigners?

\\- is the country still safe?

\\- is the government going to be stable?

Lots of questions that worry me. I wanna know if spending most of my savings on something will end up being worthy.

I would be happy to consider a different country as well.

If you can share your experiences and enlighten me with insights and suggestions, I'd be grateful. Thank you!
