Students: What is your perception/feelings about AI generated media in your courses?

This is primarily directed at higher ed students but all are welcome too. I'm looking to get a sense of the various opinions/feelings on AI generated media in courses specifically. So graphics, images/"photography", video, etc.

If you know something is AI generated do you still trust the content presented?

Are all uses okay? Are all not okay? Are there uses that are okay and others that are not? When and why?

Do you have a different feeling if the AI media is a small amount and there is primarily non-AI media in other parts of the course?

Does the use of AI media impact your perception of the school? Faculty?

Any and all opinions are welcome, please feel free to elaborate on why you feel a particular way. Thank you!

Learned some thing grading for the first time. Some things to look for in pregrading.

I thought this was a good example of lack of meticulous pregrading on my part. When I sent I thought this meowth was an easy 10. Centering was great and the back looked good.

Before I got it back I thought it would be hard to find the reason for the nine. But looking closely with a light I immediately saw two reasons for the 9. The red print dot in the third pic and the tiny dent in the fourth pic. The fifth pic is how that corner with the dent looks straight on; dent is invisible except for at a certain angle under light. There’s probably other possible things I missed but these two jumped out at me.

These are both things the AI grading I did missed, btw. The best thing for grading imo is to learn how to pregrade with your eye and catch these things before sending. These are probably obvious to experienced graders but hope this helps anyone just starting out like me!

My mom used AI to make a flyer for a family party….I’m literally a graphic designer

This is mostly a rant bc I’m furious and idk maybe I shouldn’t be? I’m right to be offended by this right? lol

I’ve ranted to her so many times about how my job is being displaced by AI and then she turns around and casually makes the literal worst AI-slop “flyer” instead of literally just sending a text to the family group chat or asking me to whip up a image….??
The party didn’t even need an invite it’s the same party every year for 4th of July. Maybe she thinks it’s different than AI taking my job but to me it’s all the same. Idk… okay end of rant.

Genuinely never thought it would happen to me 😱

Traded for a couple bundles and pulled this out of the first one. I still can’t believe it.

Finished the cover for my “reverse-only” multi-set Master Set binder!

I have been doing reverse-only master sets for Phantasmal, Ascended, PO, and now Chaos so I had to have some favorite card arts on the cover! I need someone to pay me to do these all the time bc they’re so fun!

Took a week or two of filling in my favorite (or just ones that fit the space) pokemon. Now I need another binder to paint!
