Refusing to pay for check in bag at terminal
Has anyone ever experienced this I've heard different stories from a few people, the context is the same for all but this is one of them:
There was a guy who was told that his 10kg cabin bag didn't fit in the cabin bag check slot as he was about to board the plane and they told him he would have to pay. He refused and said he's not paying as it did fit but the straps hung out the middle or something daft. He then called their bluff and said fine I won't fly as he's not paying the fee. This would then mean that his suitcase would then need to be removed from the aircraft as a flight isn't allowed to leave without the passenger/owner. This being the case would result in time on tarmac for the aircraft resulting in delay fines to Ryanair so the check in staff essentially turned round and said fine you can go on and waivered the fee.
Pretty neat loophole if true, just wondered if anyone else had seen this.
