I've had my typical tinnitus for decades now, it comes in a variety of frequencies but sounds similar to the "standard" sound you hear if you look up videos, just a constant single pitch ringing in either or both ears.
I'm also fairly sensitive to electricity, and can frequently hear florescents or old wiring behind walls.
Both of these are so commonplace I barely notice them, and really only do after a pitch change or brief reprive.
For a few weeks now, I've had something *different*. At first I thought it was external, somewhere in my neighborhood or home, maybe they were doing some work nearby. I only realized it was coming from me when it would follow me around and be on the same side of me no matter how i faced.
The best way I can describe it would be the sound of a transformer, but gently pulsing (not in time with my heart, quite a bit slower and gentler but very steady). It always happens only in my right ear, and it's something I can *feel*. I have a very full feeling in my ear and side of my neck when it happens, but it's intermittent.
I'm a little curious, since it's drastically different and I've never had physical sensation with tinnitus before, has anybody experienced a similar type?
