what do you think of the difference in philosophy for those who practice looking at numbers, of running numbers or numbers running you?

people who get inspired with numbers seem to run with it in one of two ways, they learn about the numbers and let it guide them,

or they take the numbers and they use it like a sword and shield, and they make their way through life with it. they run the numbers, they don't run from scary numbers, they take the message, but they can use all numbers for the purposes.

where do you fall in this?

let's talk about the man's experience of hank getting injured and irrationally treating marie poorly?

this was never explored and so much was brilliantly left unsaid. but whether it's man to woman or woman to man, after serious trauma or loss, they can't stand to look at their spouse/partner the same.

how do you put this into words or describe or even explain what this phenomena is?

If someone willingly takes on a risk where death is highly predictable (like free-solo climbing or wingsuit flying), is their death actually a 'tragedy,' or is the true tragedy only for the helpless loved ones left behind?

WYR be philosophical, or scientific?

for some reason these are distinct. therefore, you have to sometimes choose. so i'm wondering,

would you rather include the observer,

or negate/deny him for the sake of "reality" that only exists because of him?

WYR listen to joni mitchell or janis joplin?

?

it seems to me janis is life raw and unfiltered. she is the jungle

whereas joni is polished. she's what happens when you clean things up to look more civilized, if not sanitized.

agree or disagree?

if so, perhaps the same with beatles and the rolling stones.

calindrome are happening now, so be on the look out and see what interesting things are associated with them

calindromes are happening now, so be on the look out and see what interesting things are associated with them.

A calindrome is a localized term used by wordplay and math enthusiasts to describe a palindromic date—a calendar date that reads the same forwards and backwards.

For example, using the standard US month/day/year (MM/DD/YY) format, you might see a calendar date like 6/21/26 written out as 62126.

These dates are incredibly rare, but we are currently in a highly concentrated period for them. For instance, the month of June boasts an incredible run of palindrome days:

  • June 20 to June 29: 6/20/26 through 6/29/26 are all consecutive palindrome dates.

The next one after this streak won't happen again until July of 2027.

trying to remember an obscure 2000's band?

it was like pop- dance -rock, early 2000's

the lead singer was a blond dude, with sock sleeves over his forearms,

he was dressed in steel silver, or white-ish,

the girls in the video were similar, and they were walking around a bed, and they through him on it.

this is driving me crazy, sorry if it's totally vague.

they had a bassist who squared up with star glasses. it looked like the funkadelic type thing, but they were white guys
