Strange debris appearing under my office chair — could someone be deliberately doing this, and how can I find out?

I’ve noticed something strange at my workplace and wanted to get other people’s opinions.
Today, when I returned to my desk, I noticed some small bits of dirt/debris or unidentified material scattered around and underneath the wheels of my movable office chair. I’m not sure exactly what the material was.
Something similar happened last week as well. After returning from lunch, I found small pieces of waste paper scattered near the area under my desk where I normally keep my feet.
It could obviously be accidental—for example, something being dragged around by chair wheels or cleaning activity—but because it has happened more than once, I’m wondering whether someone could be deliberately putting things around my desk.
Has anyone experienced something similar at work? Is there any reasonable way to determine what is happening without wrongly accusing anyone? For example, should I document it with photos, note the dates/times, inform facilities/HR, or ask whether CCTV covering the general office area can be reviewed?
I mainly want to establish whether there is an innocent explanation or whether someone is intentionally doing this.
This is not the first time it happened it happened earlier also I took it up with the HR and asked for video footage the security officer said he had reviewed the footage and nothing like this happened, HR also does not seems to give a damn to it
