about; uptown #1 skipping 181 & 191 so you need to downtown from Dyckman

I rarely go near YU, so I was surprised during weekday rush hour the train simply skipped their 2 stops. Can someone here explain how the MTA feels justified doing this? The conductor made some announcement at 168th but even in 2026 their PA system is so useless that nobody can understand what they are saying. the whole situation was very annoying as it made me a half hour late for a meeting that could not be delayed.

does the #1 sometimes skip other stops during rush hour? I have been on trains that suddenly switch from local to express or express to local, but never on one that arbitrarily skips stops. there was no protest or other activity, and i asked others who were similarly inconvenienced and they said it happens pretty regularly and nobody could explain why, only that they have resigned themselves to live with it.

ali is just terrible. if what you want does not show up on the first page of results, they just shovel a whole lot of crap at you on subsequent pages. this makes it extremely difficult to find crafts and diy hardware, parts, pretty much anything.

i know the search by photo works well, but often photos don't work because they are found out of context, or out of scale of the item you want, it's just a horror show over there - how does a company survive with such a useless search engine?

i'm on paygo data, which i keep disabled 99.99% of the time.
i only use it while i need to communicate away from various wifis.
i don't mind manually enabling and disabling cellular,
what i find maddening is i sometimes find my cellular enabled
when i know i didn't enable it - something in android just does it.
i want to put my cellular behind a password, it could be the same
password as my phone unlock, i just do not want to catch cellular
enabled while i know for certain i didn't intend for it to be this way.

i have a simple app that manually enables/disabled NFC
so i was hoping to find something that basic for my cellular.
