Challenge video idea: Try Beating NG1 (either Black or Sigma) with only an unupgraded wooden sword.

Posting this in case someone wanted a new way to make their game more challenging, but mostly hoping this reach some challenge run youtuber or streamer and they make a video on it.

As for me, I'm still building up courage to beat the game on normal.

Did I miss something or there isn't a career mode in WF2 as there is in 1 ?

I picked up the game to give it a try, but couldn't find the career mode anywhere. All single player options are Challenges and single custom races.

Did I miss something, or a proper career mode will only be added in the future ?

How do I access career mode ?

I picked the game to give it a try and all I could find for single player were the challenges and the single custom race options ?

Did I miss the career mode or will it only be added in the future ?

Ok, folks, round 2. Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn Edition, or Maximum Action, Devilated and Wreckfest DLC's ?

I made a post about three RPG's I've been looking for during the Steam Summer Sale, and thanks to you guys I managed to leave Final Fantasy XVI and Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon for later, and bought a bunch of indie games with the original money.

Now I managed to find enough money for a smaller round 2 in this summer sale, and the budget is enough to buy either Tales of Arise (with the Beyond the Dawn expansion included) or the indie shooters Maximum Action, Devilated and the Wreckfest DLCs (I already bought the base game in the first haul).

On one hand, I really like RPGs and long games in general, but my favorite general genre are FPS (boomer shooters in particular). Which option should I pick ?

Tales of Arise, Final Fantasy XVI or Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon ?

Summer Sale's up, and I'm looking to spend some money specifically on RPG titles, and These three happened to be at roughly the same price range. I've got a rather limited budget, so can only buy one of them.

I'm ok with both anime-style and more western-style RPG games. I'm a bit of a sticker for quantity of content, so I hope you guys help me choose which one has the best quantity/quality content ratio.

I get that all new programing tools require testing, but... why exactly do you have to run this centenary electro-game Doom on our new room temperature quantum computer ?

Is the last boss incredibly cheap or am I just too much of a noob ?

It starts when you can't enter the fight at full health unless you did the Regent fight hitless. Then your Ninpo bar gets zeroed, so saving beforehand is impossible. Then you have to face an endless gankfest of incredibly annoying enemies that block and dodge all the time, and when they have their limbs cut, you must execute them on the spot before they explode. All of this while the boss slams the arena and pepper it with random explosions that can hit you, but not the enemies. And all that to fill the largest ninpo bar in the game at a snails pace. And then there's a second phase.

I don't think I'm particularly bad (wouldn't have beaten sigma 2 and the entire rest of the game on normal if I was), but this boss made it crank down to hero mode. It's not a skill check, it's an exercise in frustration.

I can only hope Ninja Gaiden 4 at least has the decency of not resorting to such cheap tricks.

[WP] Constant exposure to low-yield memetic cognitohazards online made humanity completely immune to the insanity caused by the appearance of eldritch beings or their knowledge. They can still kill us, but we just won't go mad.

Given your species... fame and...proclivities, it was only a matter of time until you produced viable hybrids. But fully integrating them within your blood units (families) ? You wouldn't believe how rare this is, even within the federation.

Should I buy Tales of Arise-Beyond the Dawn Edition or Final Fantasy XVI ?

I'm looking to buy a game to get myself started on japanese RPG-styled games and both of these are at the same price on a deal I've got. I'm personally looking for a game with a lot of quality content and engaging gameplay with a long duration. For reference, i deeply enjoyed The Witcher 3, Crimson Desert and Skyrim.

Having my first experience with Sigma 1 in the Master collection after trying with NGB2. Good lord this game is brutal. I loved it.

My prior experience with soulslikes and having some Devil May Cry as a kid certaily helped, but damn this game is tough. Mostly because the common enemies are numerous, super fast, hit like trucks, and most importantly, are not afraid of ganking you. The fact that there are zero checkpoints and you get no health refill on save points really felt like rubbing Carolina Reaper sauce on the wound.

For some reason I'm not having nearly as much trouble with the bosses as with the common enemies (f* the exploding kunai ninjas with a cactus), Master Murai certainly wasn't nearly as brutal as I thought he would be, just had to dodge the nunchaku combo and punish.

I'm having a particularly tough time, and seriously considering bumping down the difficulty to hero mode in case I softlock my self with zero healing items and low health in a save point.

As for the rest, I'm loving this game to bits. Where has it been all my life ?

Asking this after seeing a rather accurate depiction of shotgun rounds in Ready or Not and being mesmerized at how good slugs are at range. This is coming from a guy used to see shotguns just stop functioning after 7 or so feet of me.
