I’m looking for some advice to choose between these two laptops.

Lenovo Slim 3 15.3in R5 24GB 512GB Laptop
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 14" Laptop - Intel® Core™ Ultra 5, 512 GB SSD

I’ll mainly be using it for tailoring my CV for jobs I apply for, writing cover letters, doing online recruitment tests, light browsing and the occasional Zoom call. I might watch Netflix here and there but nothing heavy. After I secure a job, I don’t think I’ll use the laptop very much at all because I use my phone for most things.

My main priorities are:

- Longevity (I want it to last as long as possible)
- No lagging
- Ease of use when applying for jobs
- Battery life

Both are very similarly priced at the moment, although the Yoga Slim is heavily discounted.

If there’s another laptop which I haven’t thought of then please let me know.

Four years ago when I moved into this house, there was *a lot* of gravel/dust/stones inside this fitted wardrobe. I found it bizarre but cleaned it out and carried on as normal.

Today I heard crumbling/thudding sounds coming from the wardrobe, like debris falling. When I opened it, loads of sand and gritty material had fallen all over my belongings, including some large dark orange stones.

I’ve attached a photo of the top shelf. The pipes run through the wardrobe and there seems to be crumbling material around them. Where the pipes are, there is a gap on the shelf itself so the debris also fell through that.

No obvious water dripping and the pipes don’t currently seem wet.

Does anyone know what this might be?
