Warning for Best Buy TV warranty

Hey all. I just want to let everyone know how the Best Buy extended warranty works for anyone purchasing it for a TV. I’ve been a Best Buy total member for a few years now and it’s been useful. I had some headphones that broke and they replaced them no questions asked. Great. I purchased a 65” Sony TV in 2025. Naturally I got the extended warranty. Well about a month a go it stopped working. Red light of death or whatever it’s called. No troubles. I’ll take it to Best Buy and have them replace it. Nope. Anything over 45” has to be repaired by geek squad. Not the geek squad at the store. Some other geek squad. Well I wasn’t stoked. But scheduled it anyhow. They said 2 weeks. It was 3 weeks. I was moving across the country the next day. I told them that. Well they cancelled. Called me the day of. And said bummer. Ok. Move to metro Detroit Best Buy is everywhere. Call them to schedule again. Well no geek squad service in your area. Ok. So now what? We don’t know. Maybe we’ll call you back. It’s been a month and half and I’m out an expensive TV. If you’re buying a TV over 45” stay away. It’s a scam. I’ve been on the phone with probably 15 people from various Best Buy call centers and nobody can help me. I’ll never buy a TV from them again. Costco gets all my business moving forward.

Finally joined the club.

After months of test driving everything from corvettes, BMW, mustangs. Everything under 75k really. I was looking at a Mustang when a RF caught my eye. I test drove it and was grinning out the entire drive. A few months later I found this. Picked her up today in Florida. We’re moving to Michigan on Monday. Gonna be a fun drive back up! Big shout out to all the r/miata posts on here that kept me motivated!

Installing Windows From Mac

Hey all. I’m building my first gaming PC. I have a MacBook Pro now. I want to download windows onto a flash drive to install in on the new build. Is that something I can do? Will the download be transferred properly onto the PC? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey all. I’ve recently fell in love with sim racing. I have a ps5 and over the past year have picked up an RS50
And foldable rig. I play GT7 and ACC. The pc seems to offer a ton more sim racing games as well as better sim racing rigs. I’m totally new to pc building and need some help. Online play is important. Iracing is my goal. Maybe some VR but not necessarily right now.

My budget is 2-3k.

I’ll figure my monitor out later when I find my rig. But I guess I’d need something inexpensive to get started?

I do live close enough to a micro center.

Side note. How long before folks upgrade their gpus? Could I build a pc and it can last me 10yrs without major upgrades?

Thank you!!!!
