I moved to Germany a week ago and found this on the curb.

I almost walked past it until I noticed it had its original carrying case. Brought it home, opened it up, and found the instruction manual still inside.

It's a Robotron portable typewriter with a German QWERTZ layout. It even still has the ribbon installed. The typing is faint, so it probably just needs a new ribbon, but everything seems to move smoothly.

As someone who just moved here, I've been amazed by Germany's curbside culture. So far I've found shelves, a coffee table, kitchen utensils, a hand mixer, an egg cooker... and now this. This one is definitely my favorite.

I can't believe someone just put it on the sidewalk.

Found my favorite ring completely by accident

Spent months looking at dragons, foxes, snakes, celestial jewelry, weird Etsy pieces, and enough silver rings to financially support an entire small mining operation.

Then I randomly found this little 925 silver ring that just says "I'm Fine 😊" in colorful letters.

The best part is that I bought it while moving to Germany in a few days, arranging international travel for my dog, and generally not being fine.

So naturally it's become my favorite ring.

I don't know if this is peak jewelry collecting or a cry for help, but the ring stays.

The Mayor catching you coming home at 1:13 a.m. like you personally disappointed him.

Street cats in Türkiye especially develop this bizarre aura of being unofficial municipal employees. They act like the city belongs to them because honestly it kind of does.
