Fledgling at my parents office and a short around him.

Found a fledgling seagull at my parents office, and I decided to go out and watch over him because he was still a baby and wanted to make sure it was safe and didn't go in the road. I was out with him for a while until I noticed a small gathering of men at the corner where the doorway into the building was, a white man who's business is in the same building I think and two black men who I'm not sure if they worked in the building or not because I don't think I saw them go inside the building at any point so I think k the may have just been buddies or something with the other guy, only two of the three are important to the story though, I'll call them white guy and bald dude to help differentiate between the two.

So anyways, I notice the three gathered and then I heard White Guy loudly complaining about the fledgling, calling it a "filthy disease ridden animal" and telling the two to "stuff it in a trash bag and get rid of it" which intensely pissed me off, he also complained that it had been there since Friday which I hadn't known because my mom and I don't go in on Fridays, so then I watched Bald Dude start walking at the fledgling, trying to scare it away, but the direction he was scaring the fledgling off in was towards the road, it took me telling him off at least three times for him to back off from the seagull. At that point I was paranoid because another guy was digging around his truck but I didn't know if he was one of the guys White Guy was complaining to, I only really vaguely remembered White Guy and Bald Dude because they were the ones most important to the story so I couldn't remember what the other guy looked like aside from just a skintone because I'd only glanced at him, so I called my mom and she came out to monitor the bird with me and then she called my aunt down with a box to bring the bird inside because I was worried that if I went inside White Guy would try something again, so now it's sitting in one of the three doored off offices of my parents workplace, it's the only vacant one as the other two are occupied by my granda and his friend.

So now we're just waiting to hear back from Ontario wildlife, I think that's the place my mom contacted, to hopefully bring the bird in during our lunchtime. And in the meantime we'll just have to wait, also I named the bird Sam Smorkle, I love him and would already do unspeakable things for that bird.

Look at this loaf

Gulliver has been the garden mascot for almost a week now. Be sad to see him go once he spreads his wings. Won't necessarily miss him shouting at me though lol

when things were easy…

this is the bird who fucked up my mind more than any other bird I’ve ever had(I have birds since 13 years). and this is my last photo of this bird that was still innocent, and when I was unaware of what’s happening. and that’s all for now, it’s gonna take years to get me ready to tell you his full story. it’s weirdly connected with some of my previous birds, with my wildest dreams, with my feelings of devastation, panic, and huge vet bills too. so - let me just make you a huge cliffhanger and enjoy the simple fact that another bird has been rescued and joined my gull team :))

(he’s alive, everything’s okay)

What to do?

This little one has been in and around our driveway for the last 3-4 days. Has the survival instincts of a Dodo. Not flying yet. Walks around with a constant noise I can only describe as a whimper.

I googled it and found that we shouldn't be feeding unless injured.

So, what should I do?

Abandoned baby seagull in the garden (and occasionally the house)

Meet Gulliver. He appeared two days ago and made himself at home! Been doing everything I can to get him to adulthood in one piece. Feeding him occasionally but he also picks at the dirt so hopefully he's finding bugs! He regularly showers in the garden sprinkler and drinks from it too. He spreads his wings regularly and seems fairly healthy. Calls out for his parents a lot which can be upsetting as they're well and truly gone. There are adult seagulls around but they generally ignore him

Is there anything I can do?

Hi everyone.

I’ve come across this gull on campus who clearly has an injured foot. I’m not sure what I can do, if anything. Is there anyone I can call at all? I’m not anywhere near my house so I can’t take it back or catch it but I would feel awful to just leave it.

2 gulls laugh at pidgeons demise , try to eat

Its quite common, whenever the trains hit a bird or animal, the gulls will clear it out as soon as it arrives. The gulls have become used to the environment in the station, they nest on the roof.
