Past week there's been this tent outside my LA Fitness asking people to donate. They stop me every single time I'm about to enter the gym and not only that, but when I leave as well. I don't want to donate and I keep having to say I'm not interested. Today the girl outside was like "you could've just said no". When I go to the gym, it's the one hour I get to myself, and having to consider these organizations aggressively asking me to donate, it ruins that little time I get. I usually don't have a problem with things like this but it's been a whole week, and usually they don't try and stop every single person they see. Does anybody know how long this is going to last?

Hello, I am a Dallasite who’s going on a little road trip down to the San Marco area, and will be stopping in Austin for a day. Being in Dallas, I’ve tried a few of the big BBQ spots like Terry Black’s and a couple others, and while I almost always have a great experience, end up spending close to $80 for myself, and even with some left overs to take home, it still seems a bit steep.

Is the pricing normal? Is BBQ always this expensive, or am I just going to the places that are just hyped up?

Also, If I stay in Austin, what are your BBQ recommendations? Or is it worth detouring to Lockhart or similar for better value and quality?

How many minutes do you guys think I should have prepared before I do an open mic? I have around five minutes of jokes that I’ve written, but I feel like that’s not enough for a set. Any recommendations for a first timer? Also, I’m based in Dallas so if anyone has some info on any open mics in the area that would be greatly appreciated!

I have seen many smoke shops and gas stations selling these disposable vapes, and the packaging says “ Made in Indonesia Designed in USA For sale in USA only Texas SB 2024 compliant”. However, after doing some research online, I don’t see that this ban was ever lifted. Don’t these disposable vapes need to be made in the United States to be allowed to be sold? or are these vapes somehow now legal/ I’m only asking because how are these other gas stations and smoke shops carrying them without any consequences?
