What do we call this big cat?

I don’t live in Florida anymore but grew up and spent 25-26 out of my 30 years in Tampa. I took a dialect quiz with my girlfriend and we got onto the subject of what this cat is and why I call it what I call it.

I’m just curious as to what other Floridians call it and if what I call it came from somewhere else like a movie, tv show or book.

Edit: no idea why the spoiler text won’t work

Edit 2: I guess she was right. I guess I’m the odd man out. Next you’re gonna tell me they’re not called frontage roads either

What is the deal with the 787-800 seats?

Just flew on a Boeing 737-800 and this might be one of the worst planes I’ve flown on. The flight before this one was on a 737-900 and both flights I was in the exit row.

The 737-900 exit row had amazing leg room and a decent amount of seat width, the 737-800 exit row on the other hand is a big downgrade. The leg room is probably the same as a normal seat (so much for exit row egress) and I was practically fused with the person sitting next to me.

Went to One Eyed Jack’s Today.

Visiting Indiana with my girlfriend to see her family and we went to One Eyed Jack’s in Winamac today. Thought it was funny to see something with that name in person.

My girlfriend and I have been watching Twin Peaks and just got to season 2 so no spoilers please.

What exactly is the Cinematic camera modes?

Just started playing this on Game Pass and while playing through the first level/tutorial, I was playing around with the options and saw that one of the camera modes is called Cinematic. I understand the difference between Floaty and Not Floaty, but I’m not finding much of a difference between Floaty and Cinematic. With the camera mode on Floaty, ORBIE still will pan to the cool shots of her running on the pipe or through the crane.

Most of these button dilemma posts devolve into “red wants to kill blue” or “blue is suicidal let them die” arguments, neither side is killing the other, it’s a 3rd party overseer.

In this situation there are two groups to pick red group and blue group. Red group has infinite lush fertile land to grow food, blue group has an arid desert. You, and everyone else has to pick a group to join. People from one group cannot cross a magic border between the two.

If more than 50% of people join the blue group, then an all powerful deity will give half of red’s infinite fertile land to blue and everyone has infinite fertile land.
If less than 50% of people join the blue group, then the deity doesn’t give blue any fertile land, they’re stuck with the arid desert.

The motivations for picking are still the same, red doesn’t want to risk living in an arid desert, and blue wants to make sure everyone has fertile land to live on.

In this situation you could argue that by joining red you’re lessening the chance for blue to end up with fertile land but that is still not actively killing the blue group. The same way people joining the blue group aren’t hoping to live in an arid desert.

Some background: I live in Anchorage and have been looking on Facebook Marketplace for a small trailer for some kayaks or a John boat to go out on some lakes or rivers. But the problem is most trailers don’t have a title or registration. I have tried searching on Google but have not had any luck finding anything relevant. Mostly stuff about registering homemade trailers and what proof the DMV wants.

I’ve called the state DMV and was told there is no way to get a title or register it if the person I’m buying it from doesn’t have a title. I also called one of those express DMV places and they said it was possible to get a title.

So I’m thoroughly stumped on the matter. Any help would be appreciated.

To start out, I have been cursed with size 15 feet, some 14s will fit but it mostly seems to be 15s these days. Also I got a long torso and short legs.

I have been trying to get into fly fishing and every place I have gone to try on fishing waders, the waders are never big enough for my feet. Some are a bit tighter in the crotch or the shoulder straps but never anything too bad. Except in the feet.

I tried a local place earlier today and they had a size 12-14 stocking foot that fit, except it was about an inch too long for my toes and every size 14 or 15 boot I tried on it felt very bunched up. I tried pulling the stocking by the heel to tighten it but that only slightly worked.

Is there anything I can do to make the big stocking fit in the boots? Or am I just sol and am going to be stuck standing on the bank getting my fly caught in every tree?

One pair of boot waders from Bass Pro Shops fit but they were hunting waders and I don’t know if that will work for fishing.
