I’ve only purchased three items (le city shorts, Justine bag, and lovina top). I love all three of them and am considering buying more items. What do you recommend? What are your favorite pieces?
I’m just over 30 classes in and still feel like I’m getting a good workout every class. However, I’m not sure if I’m ready to start with 1.5?
My reservation is that I still struggle a little bit with some of the scapula based exercises. I’m currently in PT for TMJ which stems from years of shoulder muscles overcompensating for weak scapula muscles. However, the leg/arms/other parts of class I am able to do successfully.
Should I just talk to my instructors or take the leap or wait a little bit longer?
As someone who has never purchased from Sézane, I was thinking of buying a couple of items but I don’t know what’s worth it and what isn’t. It’s summer (100* F) where I am so I was looking for things that would be comfortable but chic! What are your recommendations? I’m a small/4 in tops and a medium/6 in pants. Thank you!
I believe this is where I fall in and was hoping for some celebrity references! Thanks :-)
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to come up with activities to do with a group (men and women) for my birthday later this month. I enjoy slower paced activities, so nothing super intense, please. I’m not against just doing dinner/drinks with everyone, but I was hoping for an activity as well.
Things I’ve considered: I’ve done puttery and enjoyed it. I’ve also been to Pins Mechanical and thought that was fine, but not something I’d want to do for a birthday get together. I do enjoy the whitewater center and thought about doing a paddle to table in July as a belated get together.
I have seen paddywax candle bar and thought that could be fun! I have never done it so I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
What recommendations do you all have? I’m open to suggestions!
This is my first piece of apparel and is the third item I’ve sewn after an apron and a tote bag. :-)
This is the Southport dress by True Bias! I accidentally sewed the skirt on backwards - whoops! I think it turned out pretty well but was definitely VERY challenging.
My 10+ year old slow cooker recently started leaking out of the case, so we had to get rid of it. What crockpots are you all using and enjoying? Hoping to use it for stews, primarily so being able to set it and walk away is a must. I’ve seen some reviews that the Ninja has some issues with the low setting in that regard. Should i just keep the standard crock pot brand? Is Hamilton Beach better?
I previously had a 5 qt. So I was looking at sizing up. Any recommendations are appreciated!
Hi everyone,
I need some advice. Husband (30) and I (29) take care of my father (72). He has COPD, T2 diabetes, and had a stroke two years ago that impacted his right side. He uses a rollator the majority of the time followed by a cane and standard walker once in a while.
When dad had his stroke, that’s when we took him in as he couldn’t live on his own. I take him to all of his doctors appointment and we both cook and clean for/after dad. We keep him on track with his medications and he takes those on his own using a pill calendar.
The gist is that when he had the stroke, he was a HEAVY smoker. Pack a day type smoker. The doctors told him that he needed to stop and that the smoking was a contribution to the stroke. We told him that when he lives with us he’s not smoking. Last September he moved out of our house and into an apartment with my brother. That lasted until November when dad was hospitalized again and had to have a peripheral arterial bypass. After that he moved back in with us as my brother wasn’t doing anything to help dad. At that time, we found cigarettes in his car. I told dad that I was disappointed in him choosing to smoke again. He took that as me being disappointed in him as a human, basically. We moved beyond that after I assured him I was disappointed in his choice, not him as a person.
All of that being said, we don’t have space at our house for three cars. But dad keeps his car at my brothers apartment complex. He recently started driving more and we found cigarettes in his car. They are his brand/type. I just don’t know what to do. Is it even worth discussing anything with him? Nothing is going to change. It feels like having a dialogue will just result in everybody being upset and nothing being resolved. However it feels like a slap in the face when we are doing so much for him and his health just for him to smoke as soon as he’s out of sight. Should we just kick him out? He doesn’t really have anywhere else to go but we are running ourselves ragged trying to take care of him. If he has another stroke or has to amputate his leg, husband and I have said to each other that we are done and aren’t equipped to help. I don’t want to abandon my dad but it’s just incredibly frustrating.
Has anybody else had any type of situation close to this? What would you recommend?
