Could you please guide me through the next steps? I just bought Era 100 SLs for the fronts and want to use Sonosequencr.

From what I understand after reading the sub, these are the steps I think I should do:

  1. Unbox the 2 speakers
  2. Add them to the official Sonos app as separate speakers
  3. Once added, pair them as stereo speakers
  4. Run Trueplay for all the speakers - Arc, Era 100SLs, Sub gen 2 and Era 300s
  5. Question - do I run Trueplay before plugging in the Era 100 SLs? Or after?
  6. Go back to the Sonos app, unpair everything and have them as standalone speakers
  7. Go to Sonosequencr app, do the initial app set up questions and then the app finds all the Sonos speakers on my Wifi network
  8. Click on Config and start adding the front Era 100 SLs and the Sub gen 2
  9. Question - do I add the Era 300s in the Sequencr app or do I go back to the Sonos app and add them as surrounds?
  10. Find the menu inside the Sequencr app where I can toggle on/off Trueplay
  11. Go to Apple TV and play the Dolby video.

Could you please let me know if I got this correct and if you could please answer my 2 questions, I would really appreciate it. I really want to watch Dune tonight.

Dubai to Canada to Dubai

People who moved from Dubai to Canada and then moved back, what made you do it? Do you feel you are better off or did you trade a few things in life for better money? I'm stuck in this conundrum now and one of my best friends is moving back to Dubai in September so am a bit lost right now.

Trying to figure out if I should get the Fold 8 Ultra trading in my S25 Ultra

I just got back from BB here in Toronto, Canada and I cannot figure out if I want a foldable or not. I think being in its 8th generation, most of the Fold kinks are ironed out by now and I wouldn't mind trying a different form factor. People who moved from the candy bar style to a fold style, do you feel your life has changed and that you cannot move back to the regular slab style or are you pretty ambivalent about it?

Tempting 30% offer

Hello, I have been a Sonos user since 2020 with an Arc, Sub gen 2 and Era 300s for surrounds. I am trying to convince myself and the wife to go for the Arc Ultra. Would you recommend it? My primary usage is streaming shows and movies, not much for music, though I will listen to a lot of Pink Floyd, Zeppelin and EDM from time to time but music is not primary. I am torn between:

  1. 2 Era 100s as fronts and use the Sonos Sequencr app (no clue how to do it)
  2. Sub Gen 4
  3. Arc Ultra

Any recommendations? Not sure if a sub upgrade will make a change to my listening experience and the one reason I can find for the Ultra is I can take the older Arc and use it in my bedroom where I currently just have TV Audio. But is it better to invest in a Beam for the bedroom and keep the Arc in the basement as is? And no clue about the Era 100s for the front, not sure if the Sequencr app will cause a big difference or not.

Great driving road to NYC via Woodbury from Toronto

Have a training in Brooklyn in 2 weeks and I am planning to drive from Toronto. Any recommendations of good scenic and twisty roads to get there? Will be traveling next Friday, planning to start around 7 AM and crossing the border through Niagara Falls. Any recommendations would be really appreciated.

Hi all,
We are going to Lake Placid for the weekend of Victoria Day and would love to know of any good roads with views and twists from Kingston. I see that we can take the 81 south to Watertown and then route 3 to Lake Placid. Is this a fun and scenic drive or would you recommend a different route?
