365 Days of Gomez and Marnie (94/365) - Happy Gotcha Day, Marnie!
A year ago today, Gomez and I drove an hour to adopt Marnie from a rescue organization.
Marnie was born November 2021 and was surrendered in 2025 from a backyard breeder with her three puppies. The puppies were all adopted out to families within three months of birth, leaving sweet Marnie all alone.
I had been open to adopting a sibling for Mez for a while, but I didn’t want to rush it. When I saw Marnie’s sweet face on the rescue page, I knew she was the one! Even Gomez, who is notorious for getting snippy with new dogs, was sweet to her from the beginning. The rescue required Marnie to go to a house with a dog so that she could learn confidence.
Marnie was a cuddlebug from day one. She loves to tussle and snuggle with her brother, chew on bones, and sit in the sun (baked potato style). I love her so much.
