Light speed

Ordered a couple of pints of ale on the app - they arrived before the order confirmation email! How is that even possible? Is Tim messing with me? (Bromley South)

Solar panel/battery supplier/installer recommendations

Can anyone recommend a solar panel/battery supplier/installer in Bromley please?
Preferably from personal experience. It’s for a 1930s semi with a loft extension. Hence some flat roof and some velux windows to work around. Thanks.

Guidance requested

So, I haven't ever really considered the possibility of claiming Italian citizenship until recently - I had a look after the Brexit vote and the information I could find on-line at that time mentioned the necessity of having an Italian born grandparent which I don't have unfortunately. I didn't know about the 1948 ruling or about any other details until recently having looked into things more deeply.

Here is what I do have:

My GGF (Vincenzo) born 1865 moved from somewhere near Genoa to Chester, UK in around 1890. He set up an ice-cream business.

He married a local woman (my GGM) in 1896.

My GGM gave birth to my GM in 1897.

My mother (my M) was born in 1929 and her birth certificate has the Italian family name (of my GM) as her mothers maiden name on it.

I was born in 1964

GGM became a UK citizen in 1941 via re-entry as Italy and the UK were at war at this time and she was considered an enemy alien - this proves that she was 'Italian' up until this point (this is from the Public Records Office at Kew in London). This would suggest that both my GM and my M were born 'Italian'.

I've got quite a lot of other information about births, marriages, deaths, the ice-cream business, etc and I've even located Vincenzo's grave.

I'm aware of the Tajani decree and it's annoying that I didn't dig deeper when I first investigated the possibilities shortly after Brexit in around 2020.

Would I have had a reasonable chance of success if I had or if the Tajani decree hadn't been passed?

So I left it a bit late to apply for the Lloyds Premier switching service I did it on Wednesday and did the switch as part of my application - I even received a text message from Lloyds saying:

>Hello from the Lloyds Bank Switching Team. We have received your switch request and will contact you soon to let you know the next steps.

Imagine my surprise when I received my card today and wondering why there was no mention of the £500 switch bonus (that was all over the online application) in any of the docs so I phoned them up and was told that they had no record of the switch request. I closed my account immediately. Waste of everyones time and I guess I won't be able to apply with them again. Oh well.
