Blend recipes?

For those of us that prefer to mix our own spices, are there any resources out there that attempt to duplicate the ratios of existing blends - Penzeys or otherwise? Given ingredients are always posted on blends, I've got to believe people have tried to roll their own.

In particular, I'd like to figure out reasonable facsimiles to both Sandwich Sprinkle and Sate.

Billpay and overdraft protection

Like many, I've slowly become disillusioned with USAA over the last 5-7 years. In search of greener pastures now. Below is not the reason, annoying as it is - just the latest in a years-long reduction in services and value. The final straw: USAA overdraft protection does not protect against overdrafts.

Yep...the new billpay requirement that you have funds in your account for a check to go out overrides any overdraft protection you have in place. This has saved my bacon on two occasions throughout the years, as I schedule things like property tax payments WAY in advance - 9 months typically for one of them. And, these checks are for many, many thousands of dollars where I live so it makes sense to keep the funds in savings until they are needed for the payment.

I've set a reminder to transfer from savings to checking prior to the check going out, but accidents happen. Which for me, is why I've set up overdraft. It always made sure any check went out on time regardless, avoiding hundreds of dollars in late fees from the County treasurer.

No more. Absent adequate funds in the billpay checking account, your check will not go out with the new billpay, regardless of how much money you have in the linked overdraft account. I just confirmed with a rep, and they actually had the nerve to tell me it was an "improvement."

I don't need pity or admonishment - just consider yourselves informed. USAA did not provide the above details when the new billpay was put in place, and any overdraft protection you have in place does not function as it did previously.
