I seriously can’t go anywhere with my kids without getting ambushed by an ice cream man, and at the worst possible time too. I swear they know you’re going to lose the fight with your kids or wage a major battle to get past them. It’s either the park, the playground, or driving by our house right when they get out school, and always just before lunch or dinner when I’m already struggling to get them to eat healthy. We already have plenty of treats at home (for rewards or special occasions) but it has to be THE ICE CREAM MAN! I don’t have a problem giving my children a treat when they’re good, but I don’t need the ice cream man to show up everywhere we go where we’re just trying to get fresh air without this extra pressure.
What other job basically sells crack for kids and stalks them everywhere they go, knowing their parents will cave and have to pick up the tab?

Had about 10-15 in our backyard tonight. Don’t remember seeing this many on LI the lasts several years. Not sure what’s up with this one but its light was permanently on and it seemed like it couldn’t fly. Is that what happens before they die?
I’m thinking like dishwashers with a mobile app or sunglasses with Bluetooth. Is there a name for this gratuitous use of technology?
The blades are like 20ft above their head.
I'm guessing they'll make up some lame excuse or give us some kind of MTA credit at best, but in all fairness we should get reimbursed for every day we can't use our monthly passes. Especially because we'll likely have to drive more and gas prices are crazy right now.
I don’t understand why some people neglect their trees a bushes and let them completely block the sidewalk. If you tell the town will they come out and clear them out?
Edit: H is Hempstead
Did anyone else listen to Raging Moderates yesterday and Pivot today and notice Scott said the exact same thing about some topics, possibly verbatim? I almost thought I was listening to the same episode twice. Is it possible he’s recording his parts and adding them in post-production via editing? I haven’t listened to them side by side yet to look for subtle differences, but they’re possibly word for word the same quotes. Maybe that’s just what’s in his head and it’s routine, or he’s literally copy and pasting his voice across pods to spend less time recording.
Is it not possible to make a paper-based container that holds a gallon?
