Do you use a baby wipe on your boy baby when changing a pee diaper?

My baby is a boy, and I never second guessed myself until just now about how I change his diapers. I always wipe him down, even when it’s just pee… because I’m a lady, and that’s what I’d do for myself. I think I’d do the same if I had a girl baby… mostly because I’d be paranoid about a UTI for a girl.

But for a boy… it never occurred to me until today… am I just doing this automatically because it’s what I do for myself, as a woman? Or do most people use a wipe on a boy when changing a pee diaper?

(Edit: I’ll be honest, I feel like I was channeling Carrie from Sex and the City when I wrote that last bit. Like when she does the voiceovers for her newspaper column like it’s some groundbreaking question… lol.)

When did your baby stop using a pacifier/binky/dummy?

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with my pacifier until I was about 3 yrs old. My parents had to trick/bribe me to get me to stop using it.

My son, on the other hand, just decided one day to stop using it completely around 7 months. Suddenly decided he hates it. Could never get him to try it ever again. I thought he was gonna be just like me and want that oral fixation, but he seems to be much more independent in certain ways.

If your baby used a pacifier, when did they call it quits? Just curious.

Anyone have experience growing their app presence w/Facebook groups?

More specifically, I’m interested in creating a Facebook group based on the niche interest related to my app. I’ve been participating in a niche FB group for a couple months, and it has been an incredible way to grow one of my apps. It has turned into a main driver of my sales.

Prior to that, I hadn’t really used FB for like 7 yrs. So I don’t have any recent experience with creating a FB group and growing it… Is it relatively easy for people to get exposed to your group if they search for key words in FB or something? Not super familiar with their algorithm nowadays.

Congrats on the launch!

Loving the app so far. If you added a ukulele feature and a mood wheel that was, like, for alt rock 90s indie pop girls, I’d be in heaven—lol! 😂 Though I like old style Marilyn Monroe ukulele playing and traditional island style ukulele too.

Do your app downloads tend to increase when you release a minuscule update?

I’m not talking about major version updates where you do an overhaul or introduce new features. I mean like an update where you kinda just released it for your own peace of mind and it doesn’t affect anyone’s use of the app in any meaningful way.

What type of polish do you use to maintain a sapphire ring?

I have an engagement ring with a sapphire and some side diamonds. I know diamonds are a harder stone, so I’m curious if there’s a specific type of polish or method I should be using to care for my sapphire center stone. I imagine anything that’d be gentle enough for a sapphire would be fine for use on diamonds… but I’m still not familiar with the types of methods for upkeep when it comes to gems. What would you recommend?

My first Apple keywords ad campaign for my app. Need help finding which words people actually searched.

I recently started my first Apple keywords ad campaign for the app I created. I have a list of keywords that I explicitly used in the campaign (though I have the toggle set to “search match” instead of “exact match.”) One of the keywords I used has been gaining some impressions, and I was able to get someone to install my app from that particular keyword.

But there’s a second installation that resulted from my ad campaign… and it’s unaccounted for. I can’t trace it to any of my keywords. And when I click to the “search terms” tab to see what people might’ve searched… I still can’t see it. I still only see the one installation that is attributed to one of the keywords I chose.

I’m just curious what that second installation originated from! If it’s a good keyword, I don’t wanna leave it on the table.

I was trying to choose an engagement ring as someone who never wears jewelry. Received lots of great feedback from this community, and it was super helpful in my search for a ring! I loved the idea of having a green/teal sapphire as a center stone, and I felt like I needed to take it in a bezel setting type of direction… but I felt stuck. I recently became a mom, and I felt like I wanted something practical. But also something pretty.

Fell in love with the art deco green sapphire designs from Jennie Kwon, but was warned that the designs might be too dainty/delicate for daily wear. So I kinda swung in the other direction for a minute and thought maybe I should do a more traditional diamond with a thicker band.

Eventually I landed on a custom design with a peacock green/teal sapphire center stone and side diamonds. Bezel setting on the center stone, with milgrain details.

I’m truly happy with how it turned out! Feels perfect for my style. Sparkly, yet practical enough for my purposes! So cool that someone was able to translate the idea in my head into an actual design!

Hopefully that’s a good sign? This is my fifth or sixth attempt at submitting my app for review. I’m a solo dev and it’s my first app, so this is my first journey with the review process. All the previous times that I got rejected were due to minor issues with the paywall. They’d spend up to 20 minutes reviewing my app and then reject it quickly. The fact that they’re taking over 7 hrs so far to actively review it makes me nervous, but hopefully it’s a sign that they didn’t run into a paywall issue immediately.

Should I be cautiously optimistic? This has been quite the journey for me so far. 😬

I’m new to app development, so I hope this doesn’t sound like a dumb question. But have you ever received an automated message flagging your app as crashing during Apple Review’s initial launch and then resubmitted the same exact build and later received an approval? The response was quick and auto generated… so I don’t think the app reached a human reviewer this time (unlike previous review submissions of my app). My test of the build works fine for me and other testers on iPhone and iPad. I’m wondering if this could just be a fluke from their review bots using the app. There’s no screenshots or any other crash info from them. I’m hoping it’s just a fluke from their non human reviewer.

It’s my third rejection so far, so I’m about a week into my Apple review submission/resubmission journey. Guess it could be worse. The previous issues were related to my paywall, but I fixed those problems.
