Which floor detergent is best for my type of flooring and for cats with the S8 maxv ultra?

First-time robot vacuum owner. I picked up a certified refurbished S8 maxv ultra recently. I want to get floor detergent for it, but I need one that’s cat safe and best used on my type of flooring (as pictured). I read that the OEM detergent has tea tree oil which can be bad for pets.

Anyone have good recommendations?

Will T-satellite kick in if T-mobile is my secondary sim?

Verizon is my main plan and my main sim. I have the $10/month T-satellite plan also. So, T-mobile is my secondary sim for my dual sim setup.

Since it is secondary, if I lose service on both will T-satellite kick in or does T-mobile need to be the primary sim for it to kick in?

First robot vacuum >$600USD for cats

I have a 700sqft single level apartment. Mostly hardwood, but the bedroom is carpet. I also have 2 cats.

I’m looking for a robot that can effectively vacuum up litter and cat hair, both on the carpet and the hardwood. Though, my main concern is the hardwood, as stepping on litter is much more annoying on it vs carpet.

I also want a robot with great obstacle avoidance. I need it to be able to avoid cat toys like little mice, springs, scratching boards, and the occasional hairball or vomit. Additionally, I’d like it to be able to run in the dark if need be. Especially for under the couch or something.

Mopping is not a priority for me. I would like it to be able to auto empty into its dock. I want maintenance to be as easy as possible.

Overall, I want it to help with my daily life. I’m always at work. I get home exhausted. Let it do most of the work, and on my weekends I can empty its dock and clean it.

My budget is $600USD. I understand that at that price point I might not get all the bells and whistles. So, in order of my priorities: cleaning litter and hair on hardwood > obstacle avoidance > cleaning on carpet > mopping.

Best lens/AR coating that is better or on par with sapphire HR?

I got new lenses in January 2026. They were Crizal with sapphire HR coating. Between then and now I’ve now had 6 lenses, with only one of them being free of defects and all sapphire HR coating.

Every pair lenses I got were scratched out the box. The only one that wasn’t, well my prescription needed updated.

It’s been incredibly frustrating and I do not blame the optician. I picked up lenses 7 days ago, looked at them in the office, there’s a scratch.

What my optician did: this set of lenses has a scratch on the left. My last had a scratch on the right. So, they used the new right and the previous left (same prescriptions). Voilà, scratch free!

I also asked them about this whole situation. They explained that, being that crizal is luxottica, they’re mass produced and their QC isn’t great. Compared to an in-house lab that focuses on a small amount of lenses.

Fast forward 7 days, the left lens is cloudy. Like a blue cloudy tint. I tried washing it with luke warm water and blue dawn soap, then using a new microfiber cloth. Same cloudiness.

The opticians have done a lot to try and get these lenses right. I do not expect them to continue replacements though, especially that they had refunded me in full because of all this.

I very much like the reflective color of the sapphire HR (the blue reflection over green or purple), the AR itself (my eyes are extremely sensitive to glare and reflection), the ease of cleaning, and how hydrophobic it is. Most of the time I don’t clean them, I just rinse them with water, it runs off, and the lenses are spotless. But, it really seems like I’m just not having a good time with them.

Are there any other lenses/AR coatings that match or exceed the crizal/sapphire HR? Optician recommended Ziess lenses but said that sapphire is still the holy grail for HR.

I currently have a 2TB annual plan that renews in May, but I want to get the 10TB plan. I would like to get the 10TB lifetime. How does the billing work? Or, if I wait until a sale (which would likely be after May), how would the billing work when I have already renewed my 2TB and I’m purchasing lifetime 10TB?

Additionally, if I upgraded from 2TB annual to 10TB annual, am I only billed the difference?
