What spirit will I play next?

Hey guys - I'll be doing a 3p game about 9 hours from now. I am setting the board up right now so that when my friend arrives we can jump straight in. We will be playing against England 3 or 4 depending on how spunky we are feeling.

So, whatever the top comment is, I'll play that spirit. I have not played most spirits.

If you want to be nice, I find that I have a preference for support or offense.

I own all content, including Horizons.

So what'll it be?

Pathfinder Card Game

I played this game many years ago. Long enough that I don't remember anything except a vague feeling of liking it well enough. It wasn't my favorite, but it was a fun time. I liked it well enough that I looked into buying it but it was priced higher than I wanted to pay.

Well, now things have changed. I'm introducing some new people to board games and they are big into d&d and Pathfinder. And lo and behold, someone is selling Pathfinder Card Game locally. It seems like this would be the perfect opportunity to make the purchase.

Except... I remember pretty much nothing about the game. Please help! It's not the rules that I care about, but rather the "holy crap, there is so much stuff" aspect.

Would someone please break this down and explain it to me like I'm 5? I think there are 4 base sets. Each base set has expansions. Going off memory, the expansions are pretty much mandatory. What would be a good price for each base set with expansions? And I think there are hero packs, too? How difficult is it to find this stuff nowadays? If I get to choose between all of them, which order should I prioritize getting them?

Basically, I remember the game was pretty fun and that's it. And I would like to know more about it before making any purchases. And my Google-fu has failed me, thanks to my Internet not working on my PC at the moment.

Thanks in advance!
