Fistful of Frags – NEW UPDATE – August 1, 2026
Always nice a see regular updates from a game released 2014!
- fof_robertlee: wider doorways at certain areas
- Heavy Loads: push force on floor bounces increased on horizontal axis and decreased on vertical axis, no view punch on enemies except for wall bounces, launched prop minimum speed to cause damage increased (250 to 300), prop granted on respawn intermittently (50% of times) unless it's a barrel (100%)
- removed prop physics push back for those that can't be held (seems to create issues with saloon doors and certain physics entities)
SHRAPNEL - Big news on the future of the game!
The SHRAPNEL team posted a update toward the development of the game on August 7, 2026. I am a fan of the game, and I look forward to the next update.
For those not similar with SHRAPNEL, below will find a brief description:
Shrapnel is a 4v4 objective FPS. Operators clash in a storm-ravaged impact zone to control Sigma—a volatile resource capable of reshaping humanity’s future.
The following news is from the SHRAPNEL Discord channel:
Hey all, it’s been a while and you deserve some explanation!
We've been quiet. That's on us
We made a call a while back to stop talking and start rebuilding.
We went into the core of the game and reworked the parts that weren't landing. That kind of work doesn't produce good screenshots. It produces whiteboards, arguments, and a lot of builds that get torn down the following week.
We're not going to pretend the silence was a strategy. The work behind it was real though, and it's far enough along now that we can start showing you!
What We Heard
We went through your feedback. The long posts, the clips, the threads where you told us exactly what wasn't working.
The stakes felt flat. Going into the Zone and coming out again didn't feel meaningfully different from one run to the next.
Nothing followed you, there was nothing to build toward. Sessions ended and the slate wiped clean.
The Zone needed to feel like it wanted something from you. Difficulty on its own doesn't do that.
We didn't agree with every piece of it, but we agreed with most of it. The systems we've been building are a direct response to the parts we agreed with.
The Core Loop, Reworked
The heart of Shrapnel is still the same. Get in, take what you can, get out alive. That isn't changing and it shouldn't
What's changing is everything on either side of that:
What you bring in matters now
What you carry out has somewhere to go
The decision to push for one more deposit instead of calling EVAC is a decision we've made harder
This iteration had several passes, some of which we threw away. The version sitting in the build right now is the first one that made the team stop and say - YES!
What's Coming
We're not going to lay it ALL out
Some of this is still in flux. We'd rather show you working systems than describe intentions
Here's enough to give you an idea:
Weapons That Remember
Your weapons are about to stop being interchangeable. They accumulate a history. They exist in different states depending on what you've done with them and how your last run ended, and not every weapon that leaves the Zone comes home with you
Some of them can be recovered. There's a service for that. Ask around about the Valdacha Weapon Retrieval Service. That's we'll say for now
What You Take Out Can Be Taken From You
This caused the longest internal argument we've had to date, and it's the thing we're most excited for you to get your hands on
Extraction is no longer the end of the risk
That's the whole tease. We know exactly what you're going to ask and we're not answering it yet
A Record That Follows You
Time you put into Shrapnel is going to add up to something visible and permanent. A record other players can read on you before you've said a word. Some of it will be very hard to earn. Some of it will only be earnable under specific conditions. All of it is meant to be worn
Looking the Part
You've asked for expression and you're getting it. Zone Skins and Weapon Charms are both in active development, with an emphasis on things you earn and things that visibly signal how you play
Dates and Roadmaps
We're not giving you a roadmap. We've watched what happens to studios that publish dates for systems still in design, and we're not doing that to you or to ourselves
Here's what we'll commit to instead. We won't announce something until it's playable internally and we're confident in it. When we do announce it, we'll show it running and when something changes or gets cut, you'll hear that from us too
Everything described above is in active development. Anything specific, including numbers, timing, and exact behavior, is still being tuned
Staying Closer
The gap between updates was too long, and we're changing the process that allowed it. Expect more from us here, more often, including the unglamorous parts
Thanks for sticking with it. The people still here through the quiet stretch are the reason this build is what it is
Outlaws of the Old West – Second Homestead
I am about 100 hours into Outlaws of the Old West and just made a second homestead. This screenshot was right before daylight was about to break; To be a seven-year-old game, the graphics still look amazing. The next project is to begin working on the train to haul cargo.
Reaper Actual - Reaper Actual Patch Notes — August 5, 2026 (Version 1.4.9.5)
New patch today! This game has potential and I see why most of the recent reviews are positive. I hope the developers keep improving the game. Again, lots of potential Reaper Actual.
Forest Doesn’t Care - Has anyone played it?
I’ve came across “Forest Doesn’t Care” and the graphics look amazing. The lighting is exceptional. Does anyone have experience playing this survival game? The reviews are “mixed”, but I can play through a mixed rated game if it is not broken. All feedback is appreciated.
Far Lands - UPDATE News - The End achievement fix small update
Far Lands was release was released Jan 19, 2024, and the devs deployed an update on June 4, 2026. The update addressed the following: "The End achievement not triggering has been tested and fixed". Hyperlink to the update notes on Steam. Nice to see continued updates!
SkillWarz dropped today on Steam
SkillWarz dropped today in Steam as an “Early Access Game”. SkillWarz is a fast-paced online FPS with parkour, six unique classes, ten weapons, and five action-packed game modes. Cross-platform play between web, mobile, and desktop. Battle bots or real players on over 20 diverse maps.
The cost is $9.99 USD, and it works on both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Is "Reaper Actual" worth it now with the 80% positive recent reviews?
Reaper Actual just went on sale yesterday. The game was released on May 29th this year. I know the initial launch reviews were rough ("Mixed"), but the recent reviews are at 80% positive. It looks like the devs have been dropping frequent patches to clean up the launch bugs.
Has anyone played it since the recent patches? Appreciate any feedback before I pull the trigger!
Outlaws Of the Old West – Does Bigfoot still spawn?
I am about seven years late to the party, but I recently picked up the game and already have about 80 hours clocked in. I’m having a blast, but I am hitting a total wall with one specific hunt: Bigfoot.
I have traveled all over the map with no success. I know the creature is still referenced in-game since the traveling salesman still shows up selling the Sasquatch concoction, but Bigfoot is nowhere to be found.
My main goal is to take down the creature to get the Bigfoot mask/hat. Before I spend another 20 hours wandering aimlessly, I wanted to ask the community:
- Does Bigfoot still spawn on current servers, was it a limited special event, or is he completely bugged?
- Which exact sectors of the map should I be targeting? I've read older posts mentioning the alpine and mountain biomes, but a grid coordinate would be a lifesaver.
- Are there specific triggers (like weather or time of day) required to make him appear?
Any directions or confirmation that the mask is still obtainable would be greatly appreciated!
Outlaws Of The Old West – Finally a Solution to “BattlEye service: driver load error (2148204812)”
If you have the survival game “Outlaws Of The Old West” and have Windows 11 and received the "BattlEye Service: Driver Load Error (2148204812)"; there is a solution. I purchased the game earlier this year and was never able to play because of the aforementioned loading error; I have Windows 11. Recently, I found a solution on YouTube by MaLPaSo.
The video shows how to replace the BattlEye exe file with a modified version. It worked me and I was finally able to play the game. I am not affiliated with YouTube producer or the developer. Just pasting information. Search for the following since the video is outside the community rules" FIXED Play Outlaws of the Old West on Windows 11 25H2. BattlEye Service Error" or search for the content creator "MaLPaSo". The video was posted May 10, 2026.
