One of best games I've played in over 1,500 hours

Played a SMDM game in the circle server (the one with high level restriction) tonight.

Allies took the midpoint (dugout) and defended it the entire game, or until the last 2 minutes when the axis captured the point with just over a minute on the clock. Neither side gave up a point until then.

I was spotter and spent most game trying to disrupt their backline, taking out garrisons and building offensive garrisons, most of which were taken out fairly quickly.

Never known such commitment to defence by the opposing team and to take their point with just over a minute left on the clock was probably one of the most dramatic moments in over 1,500 hours on HLL, reminding me why I still play this incredible game.

New Cliftons after 2,500 miles

I’ve still been walking around 10 miles a day in my 10 month old Clifton’s after about 2500 miles of walking in the shoes so far.

Started developing knee pain so figured I should probably replace them.

Just put on the new ones and the difference is remarkable - the cushioning has obviously completely gone on my old shoes and I was too stupid to realise.

Don’t be an idiot like me. If you walk/run as much as I do daily then you should probably replace them every 6 months.

I was a 30-40 (maybe more) a day smoker and consumed about 600mg of caffeine a day (4-6 strong black coffees every morning)

Quitting coffee the same day I quit smoking was essential - caffeine is a major trigger for smoking because nicotine reduces the half life of caffeine

Tried patches for the first time as well and they really do work. That constant stream of nicotine manages cravings better than anything I’ve tried. I use lozenges as well as they help with intermittent cravings.

Long walk in the morning is crucial to clearing the mind and distraction. Morning always the hardest so get outside.
