can men answer.
why do you guys follow random girls on instagram after you told your ex your focusing on yourself.
advice please.
Me and my ex dated for about 2 years and things were really good at first but then life stress got in the way and he started pulling away. We’ve been no contact for 3 months and I had him blocked, then unblocked him. He recently messaged me asking how I am and said he’s not in a place to be with me right now and wants to come back when he’s more confident.
The issue is I feel like I’m stuck waiting for him even though he says I shouldn’t wait. Part of me wants to block him again because I think it would help me move on but I also don’t want to be mean or make things messy.
Should I block him for my own peace or just leave things as they are?
Law school. Marriage.
I really care about this girl, and we both want to build something serious together. But I’m worried about my financial situation and not being where I want to be yet, especially with marriage in mind. I’m also going to be 31 by the time I finish school, and I’m scared of losing her in the process. At the same time, I don’t want to hurt her or hold her back. I’m trying to figure out how to balance everything and become the kind of man I need to be for both of us. Any advice?
Ex reached out after 3 months.
I’m the dumpee. My ex messaged me saying, “why did you unblock me?” on Instagram. I unblocked him everywhere about a month ago because I felt like I was finally over it and didn’t see a point in keeping him blocked anymore. I had him blocked for two months, and then I unblocked him because I felt like I was in a better place emotionally and ready to move on.
But then he messaged me just saying, “why did you unblock me?” — no hello, no how are you, nothing. And he’s the same person who asked for space, told me to leave him alone, and was pretty toxic during the relationship.
Any advice would be helpful.

Ex asked for space after rekindling things and hasn’t reached out in months. Did he just want out?
I’m looking for honest advice because I feel like I’m overthinking this.
I was with this guy for about 2 years. We had a really intense relationship and genuinely loved each other, but we also had our issues. He had a lot of family stress and was also dealing with a really demanding school program, which affected him a lot mentally and emotionally.
We broke up at one point, but in December he came back and wanted to rekindle things. He told me he loved me, missed me, and wanted to make things work. We started talking again and things felt hopeful, but after about 2–3 weeks he slowly started becoming distant again. He said he had so much going on in his head, was overwhelmed, stressed with school, not emotionally present, and needed space.
The problem is… it’s now been over 2 months of no contact and he still hasn’t reached out.
This is confusing because in the past, he usually came back after needing space or after arguments. This is the first time he’s actually stayed gone, which is making me spiral a bit and question everything.
I’ll be honest and take accountability too: toward the end, I became anxious and reactive. I would overthink, get insecure, and message a lot when I felt distance. He said the constant conflict and emotional ups and downs became exhausting for him. I understand that and I regret some of my reactions.
At the same time, I feel hurt because he came back into my life, wanted to rekindle things, talked about a future, and then pulled away again. It makes me wonder if he genuinely wanted to try or if he just missed companionship and then realized he didn’t want the relationship.
My question is: when someone asks for “space” and then disappears for months, is that usually their way of ending things without saying it? Or can someone genuinely care, be overwhelmed, and still go silent for a long time?
Also, if you’ve been the person who asked for space, what was going through your head?
Toronto* Single Muslim tired of the apps… anyone else
Salam everyone,
I’m a single Muslim and honestly… I’m not really into the apps. I’ve tried to be open-minded, but the whole vibe just feels forced to me and it’s hard to know who’s genuine anymore. I’d rather meet someone more naturally or through community/family/friends, but that seems impossible these days 😭
Ideally, I’d prefer someone who was born and raised in the GTA since I feel like there’s more shared understanding/cultural compatibility, but I’m still open-minded if the connection is right.
Also pls 😭 no fake or weird DMs. I’m not here for anything unserious, ego boosts, or people pretending to be someone they’re not. Just curious if anyone else feels the same or has had better luck outside the apps?

Advice.
Hi everyone, I’m currently working as an admin and salon coordinator where I handle bookings, client communication, scheduling, and general front desk operations, and I also have an educational background in HR (Psychology degree and HR post-grad certificate). I’m looking to transition into HR roles, especially recruitment or HR coordinator/administration positions, and would really appreciate any advice on how to position my experience or improve my chances of breaking into the field.
