I want to make a respectful request to the moderators.

Could we please keep r/Surat focused on Surat and avoid using the subreddit to promote or organize political protests, campaigns, or movements regardless of which side they support?

Recently, there have been posts related to movements such as sonam wangchuk's protest.

People are free to support or oppose any cause personally, but I feel this subreddit works best when it stays focused on local topics like city news, events, food, transport, infrastructure, culture, and helping residents.

Keeping the community politically neutral can help ensure that everyone feels welcome, regardless of their views, and prevent unnecessary arguments that take away from the purpose of the subreddit.

This isn't about supporting or opposing any particular movement or political opinion. It's simply a request to keep r/Surat centered on Surat and free from political activism.
