Larry gave this to me in 1983

It's not particularly beautiful, but Larry gave this to me when I was a boy. It's a paper mache buffalo. He was living in Virginia at the time and was my neighbor. I always thought he brought it from Texas, but in retrospect and after reading his biography, I think he got it around here in his collector phase. Once, he and my dad were out and I was at his place. The phone rang and I answered. The message I took was 'please tell him Cybill called'. This would have been around the time LD was written. I don't remember anything about him personally, except he and my dad were a generation of young men who grew up in Texas and wanted to get the hell out. True story.

Advice request: Son wants his first tattoo

My son is about to turn 18 and said he'd like to get the cover of his favorite album as a back tattoo. Maybe 4 inches square. I'm not inherently against the idea, though I explained that it might not still be his fav album in a few years. Is there any technical reason why this would or wouldn't work? Anything else we should consider?

Dad's lawyer messed me up

Dad knew he couldn't leave my brother a large sum of money so he made me trustee with instruction to distribute 'minimum of $1000 per month'. That's messed up my life bc bro wants much more and smoking crack and I'm seriously sleeping with a loaded gun by my bed so he doesn't kill me to get it all. Did dad's lawyer fuk up or am I just doomed? [Edit- VA]

Is there much overlap between FIRE and prepping?

We're a forward-thinking, financially invested community in an increasingly unpredictable technological landscape. I'm less worried about the civil war scenario than a massive AI hack on financial institutions, though both are possible simultaneously. To what extent does your FIRE plan account for a major disruptive event, as opposed to just a generational economic pullback?

Does anyone else automatically this of the title music to A Clockwork Orange when an electric car approaches?

Something about the mechanical whir of the engine always reminds me of those opening synth (Moog?) notes. Maybe I'm nuts.

We're in a small, desirable town. By coincidence, my neighbors and I are both selling this year. Their house is considerably nicer, let's say theirs is 2M and ours is 900K. I'm wondering if there are any ways this would be beneficial or work against us. Also if using the same agent would be a good or bad idea [small town in which only 2-3 agents really know the market].
