What kind of lawyer do i need?

Long story short. My sibling is a drug addict and I'm bound by my dad's trust to send her money every month. Do I need a criminal lawyer or a trust/inheritance lawyer to sort this out?

Where do parents stay near Monroe Park Campus?

I've found some OK Airbnbs and hotel options, but is there a go-to place nearby for under $200/night?

Are freshmen taking gaming PCs to college these days?

We're taking our son to VCU this week, he'll be staying in a dorm (2 to a room with a partition). He's got a laptop for studies, and wants to take his gaming PC. This raises a few questions for me- Should he be gaming with his high school friends at college, which might prevent him from making new friends? Will it be too loud in the room if he (and potentially his roommate) are yelling in their mics? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but is it just normal for freshmen to take their gaming PC to college these days? Btw I'm not anti gaming, I bought the dang thing for him!

Anyone seen The Debt Collector? What city is it set in?

Just hit Netflix US. Pretty good, high production value. I'm guessing Phetburi or Chanthaburi?

How much does personal appearance matter to a freshman in a medical major?

My son is heading off to Richmond soon to study science/medicine. In high school he's always listened to underground music, thrifted clothes, dyed his hair. Now he's talking about tattoos and piercings. I'm not opposed to all that, and think it would be normal for an art major, but should i suggest he pump the brakes a little if he's going into a more 'traditional' field of studies? [Just for the record, I was the same at his age, but I studied Liberal Arts...]

Bob was a groomsman at my sister's wedding in '91

Just randomly found this pic inside a book I pulled off the shelf. He wasn't famous at the time, but he was writing for SNL, and I remember him telling teenage me about a skit he was working on about a gay alien.

Larry gave this to me in 1983

It's not particularly beautiful, but Larry gave this to me when I was a boy. It's a paper mache buffalo. He was living in Virginia at the time and was my neighbor. I always thought he brought it from Texas, but in retrospect and after reading his biography, I think he got it around here in his collector phase. Once, he and my dad were out and I was at his place. The phone rang and I answered. The message I took was 'please tell him Cybill called'. This would have been around the time LD was written. I don't remember anything about him personally, except he and my dad were a generation of young men who grew up in Texas and wanted to get the hell out. True story.

Advice request: Son wants his first tattoo

My son is about to turn 18 and said he'd like to get the cover of his favorite album as a back tattoo. Maybe 4 inches square. I'm not inherently against the idea, though I explained that it might not still be his fav album in a few years. Is there any technical reason why this would or wouldn't work? Anything else we should consider?

Dad's lawyer messed me up

Dad knew he couldn't leave my brother a large sum of money so he made me trustee with instruction to distribute 'minimum of $1000 per month'. That's messed up my life bc bro wants much more and smoking crack and I'm seriously sleeping with a loaded gun by my bed so he doesn't kill me to get it all. Did dad's lawyer fuk up or am I just doomed? [Edit- VA]

Is there much overlap between FIRE and prepping?

We're a forward-thinking, financially invested community in an increasingly unpredictable technological landscape. I'm less worried about the civil war scenario than a massive AI hack on financial institutions, though both are possible simultaneously. To what extent does your FIRE plan account for a major disruptive event, as opposed to just a generational economic pullback?

Does anyone else automatically this of the title music to A Clockwork Orange when an electric car approaches?

Something about the mechanical whir of the engine always reminds me of those opening synth (Moog?) notes. Maybe I'm nuts.

We're in a small, desirable town. By coincidence, my neighbors and I are both selling this year. Their house is considerably nicer, let's say theirs is 2M and ours is 900K. I'm wondering if there are any ways this would be beneficial or work against us. Also if using the same agent would be a good or bad idea [small town in which only 2-3 agents really know the market].
