Hey now ! So as a 17 yr old in 1984, there wasn't much GD action in August, so my friends and I would go to other shows of course. The day between is 42 years ago, 8-6-1984, which I have absolutely no memory of whatsoever 😂. So yeah, a day between indeed.

8-5 was seeing CSN at the Mann music center in Philadelphia. We had two 12th row & two 2nd row Tix. No too shabby for about $60 total. So we got Sean's brand new D6 in, with an Aiwa mic. Deal agreed upon was 12th row taped, 2nd row, chill, switch places at set break. More on this later...

8-6 , ??

8-7 , JGB, Mann ctr. I had a 20th row single. Big crew of friends and family. Sean had a pavilion single, with the intention of taping. His 1st with proper mics. He later became a successful live sound engineer and studio producer. RIP brother ❤️‍🩹. Really hot and humid that day, & jer puts on a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ show.

Ok, since I'm a bit of a prankster, I buried the lead. I am in possession of the 8-5 CSN tape masters. I'm fairly certain that this is the only recording of the show in the world. Side 2/ tape 2 is the JGB 8-7 ,1st set -- 1st gen off of Sean's master, probably done on 8-8.

I'm offering this to anyone out there that can digitize it, clean it up, etc. and share it freely where permitted.

Still in search of one IRL

So, I'm 16, got 2 Tix, went to the library, got out the maps and phone book. Booked a room for $19.99. Got the car from Pops. ( No license/ drive permit ) 😅, as one of six, don't think pops had any clue how old I was. lol. , after lunch and cocktails at the hotel, went to the Coliseum and were strolling around, taking it all in, when we came across the line of 1000 to get in. Went up to a door about 30 ft from the crowd to look inside. I made a joke about " sorry officer, I didn't know the door was open ", & then pulled the handle. Door did open, heard a commotion & turned to see the crowd sprinting towards us. Immediate visions of the Who @ Cincinnati flashed. Threw open the door, grabbed my sis and tossed her inside and dashed down the concourse escaping the maddening crowd. After hiding in a bathroom stall for a bit, we took seats Phils side, about 15 rows up. So, yep, got the whole ticket !
