8bitdo Help Wanted

Last edit: not sure why I was downvoted BUT for anyone finding this during future troubleshooting please look at the thread linked below! Turns out… the instructions listed on 8bitdo’s website>Analogue Dock>2.4G controllers>SN30 are just flat out incorrect. Not sure why this would be excusable but here we are.

Edit: I am 99.99% issue here is the controller not being recognized as a drive. All instructions I’m following fail there. On multiple computers using multiple cables in multiple ports. The controller is flashing blue and yellow but it must not be in “update mode”?

Hi all, really could use some help.

New SN30 2.4G purchased ahead of my Analogue Pocket dock delivery and super excited about it. My understanding is that I need to download the specific firmware from the 8bitdo website. I have followed all the instructions step by step and done all troubleshooting I cant think of.

I hold L+R+Start to get the blue and green flashing lights and no matter what my (and 2 other people’s) computers do not see it as a drive AKA “update mode”. What do I do? Does it need this update to work with my Analogue dock?

On the quest to try on a white murph, do I really have to drive 90 minutes?

Any experience ordering a watch online and returning if you don’t like? If I want a white murph is my best bet to order from Hamilton’s website and return if it’s not what I had in mind? Have one other watch, a Speedmaster that I bought 3 years ago. I had 2 ADs within 30 minutes of me so the experience was very different. I have since moved.

My AE1200 in a Kranio Designs case with an SKX Mods faceplate is for sale.

Listing here because this is such a niche community. If you are interested please let me know. Just doesn’t get the wear it deserves. More than happy to provide any photos I can!

Please help a 32 year old former player pick out a stick!

Hey everyone, looking for some help for those still active in the game. I just got my hands on my high school sticks that I would like to refresh for teaching my kids and in general just playing around. For nostalgia, I’m going to clean up my old shaft that’s absolutely covered in old tape residue and a disintegrating end cap. STX Scandium Pro for those curious!

But for the head, I’m not sure what to do. I used to know how to string but don’t really feel like dealing with that right now. I have my old STX Super Power that is pretty warped but I’d be willing to buy something new.

To get to the point, should I buy a new head? If so, what should I be looking at? And the big question… can I pay someone to string it? Back in the day we had no luck getting it done online at any level of quality. I’m in Maryland, should I go somewhere local to have it done?
