ELI5: How were the cables laid out at the ocean bed for global network connectivity?

The ocean bed can be miles deep at many points, and to connect the entire global seems like a decade long process.

How did this process happened? And who all paid for it?

Yet to find a more profound watch than this one. Ricky is a genius.

After Life- I've watched this series like 3 times now.

And it has such good insights into life-from everyone's lens.

I've always loved Ricky's creativity- but I never expected him to make a heartfelt comedy series that can touch the deepest corners of your heart.

Any other series like this?

A month back I had inflammation and many active acnes on my skin. I posted here and a user told me to add La Roche Posay in my routine and that helped a lot.

I still have pigmentation on my cheeks and a bit on nose.

Please look at my routine and recommend if it can be made better.

Morning routine-

  1. Cetaphil Cleanser

  2. Aziderm (on pigmentation area)

  3. Sebium Hydra (moisturizer)

  4. Blynds SPF 40+

Night Routine-

  1. Cetaphil Cleanser

  2. Persol (only if there are active acnes)

  3. Sebium Hydra

  4. La Roche Posay before sleeping.

So, till now AI has made huge progress in analyzing brain data, decoding signals, mapping and simulating brain functions.

In the Epilepsy category though, it's hard since forecasting signals is a complex problem to solve.

AI can help in Seizure logging (already doing it), better analysis of tests, emergency triggers, trigger tracking from what I understand in the AI World.

But forecasting or solving the seizure problem itself is a HUGE deal. You think it's possible?

First of all, a big shoutout to NIMHANS (in India) for being the most educated, supportive and respectful mental health institute in India. Discussed my entire history to study me for a good 30+ minutes, when other government institute don't entertain for more than 5 minutes. I would really recommend going to them if you are in India. Also, really cheap.

Anyway, I got my MRI & EEG done. I'm a Temporal Lobe Epilepsy patient and my trigger is chewing. 90% of my 2-3 seconds of blackout seizures happen while I'm eating. But we haven't progressed much in dissecting which brain spot is causing this.

So they've asked me to get a 7-day Video EEG done. And doctors said that after that we would be able to detect whether I need a brain surgery done or not.

Just the mention of brain surgery scared me.

Is this is a good path to head towards if it helps me fight Epilepsy once and for all. Or does it have any side effects that might worsen my life?

▲ 1 r/Cerave

So I was traveling with one of my friends in Laddakh, and of course we were applying a lot of sunscreen wherever we went.

I noticed something different with his face though. It was always glowing, and looked hydrated & fresh.

After I apply the sunscreen, my glow of moisturizer damps.

He said it was because of a Cera Ve product. I forgot what it was.

How do you pull of a fresh & glowing face after applying the sunscreen? Which Cera Ve product does this?
