Multiple search warrants were executed across the south metro this morning. One in Savage was at an address traced to Somali businesses that neighbors expressed concerns about before.

The Edina police department reports that around 9 a.m. Wednesday, southwest metro SWAT teams conducted search warrants in Burnsville, Savage and Shakopee related to a July 2 shooting in Edina.

This city has become a parody. Instead of creating an environment where violent gang activity actually carries serious consequences, officials are going to court to negotiate who can attend the State Fair and who they’re allowed to hang out with once they get there. When “please don’t associate with your gang homies at the fair” is treated like a major victory, you really have to question how bad things have gotten.

Minneapolis has shootings, businesses getting burglarized, and a looming budget mess, but thank God the City Council finally tackled the pressing crisis of not knowing a nightclub’s dress code before you get there.

Our police officers deserve the biggest budget and all the tools necessary to deal with people like this.

Is this legit? A guy was walking around saying he was selling candy bars for the homeless. He had a lanyard with a bade that said city peddler. I said no, and he kept asking pivoting it to a donation. I still said no. First time I’ve seen this before.
