Raspberry Leaf.

Raspberry leaf has brought me so much luteal phase relief when it comes to anxiety and depression. I’m not really sure the science behind it but… just trust me.

Brew it into tea. Chew on it. Smoke it. Your ancestors did it, it worked for centuries.

Luteal Phase Supplements

I’m looking for supplements to help with PMDD, taken only during the luteal + menstrual phase. Main issue with me is anxiety.

Not to be pretentious but… bonus points for all organic and non animal tested!

I am a college student on summer break. I despise being in my rich hometown.

My friends are being gifted vacations for the sole purpose of “family time” because their mommy’s missed them. Most of them have little to no debt. Their second cars are being paid off, and they constantly go on shopping sprees with their daddy’s credit card.

Meanwhile, my parents just told me I am expected to buy my own food. They never taught me how to cook. They never taught me how to drive. Now it’s constantly being implied that I should think about moving out this year. I turned nineteen only six months ago.

“Life’s unfair” is the response I always get. But it’s almost always the people standing on the other side of the fence who say it first. If I want the same opportunities or the same level of success, I have to take ten extra steps. I have to work twice, maybe three times, as hard just to reach the same starting line.

This isn’t a classic tough love lesson about independence. They genuinely do not care about me, and they make sure I know it. I get called useless all day, everyday.

I don’t blame them for it. The same world they’re throwing me into is the one that shaped them into who they are. My greatest fear isn’t struggling, it’s becoming them. I don’t want to be another failure in an endless line of people who never learned how to stay above the water. I have so much potential, but I am so scared.

I don’t need to be wealthy, I’m not jealous of that. I just want a hug and a home cooked meal.

Struggling a lil extra with painful periods lately and my partner has been a huge blessing throughout it all!!

These past six months have been really rough on me (20F), with terrible pain every month, but my boyfriend (21M) has been the one good thing through it all!

Just days after we started officially dating, I got an unusually painful period. Since the relationship was still so new, I expected him to have no real role in it. I was wrong.
He showed up in a snowstorm at midnight just to sit with me and hold my hand. After a while, I started to feel guilty for keeping him there and needed space, so I sent him home. He still waited outside for another half hour, just in case I changed my mind or needed him again.

It only gets better from here.

Now we live together. After long days of classes and work, I almost always come home to my bed already made, my favorite snacks stocked, and any medicine I might need set out on the table. Dinner is usually waiting, and if I’ve had a rough day, there’s a hot shower ready and a quiet kind of care waiting.

We’re long distance now but he still shows up in the ways he can. He’s DoorDashed me food without even asking. Meanwhile, he didn’t eat during his own lunch break
just to FaceTime me and make sure I was okay.

He didn’t start out knowing how to do any of this. At first, he was honestly pretty ignorant. But when he saw I was in pain, he chose to learn. He did his own research, asked questions, and actually listened.

I’m sharing this because I used to think I had to settle for less. My first boyfriend was emotionally and sexually abusive, and I stayed for three years because I didn’t
believe I’d find anything different.

But you can.

Please don’t settle for less!!!!!!

Unbelievably painful periods out of nowhere

I (20 F) have had normal periods all my life. I’d take two Tylenol, put in a tampon, grab my favorite snack and forget it was even happening.

This February changed everything. My cramps got worse… and worse… and worse… until they had become unbearable. I ended up doubled over outside in 15° weather trying not to throw up from pain. I was very close to ending up in a random upstate hospital but four Tylenol, two Advil and a midol patch later the pain calmed down just enough to stay home.

The next three months were slightly more painful than average but overall a return to normal. As long as I piggybacked pain meds, it was nothing home remedies couldn’t handle.

In between cycles, arousal started to hurt. Nothing more then minor cramping. I figured it was bluevula and thought nothing of it. I avoided internal sex. Life went on.

Then this month came. And life did not go on. I was hit with a burning, searing pain across my entire lower abdomen and back. Two hours later, I got my period. It only got worse from there. This pain was so horrific that my resting heart rate was 120. I was visibly shaking and crying for hours and I’m shocked I didn’t throw up. Today I have taken six Tylenol and eight Advil. Because of that I am JUST able to function as normal. It’s only day one and I fear the worst from here. I don’t want to destroy my liver but i will do anything to avoid this hell.

It’s worth mentioning that my mother had endometriosis and I’ve had multiple breast cysts during this time.

No drivers tests available for SIX MONTHS?

The soonest available test is in a month, two hours away from me, in the city. Anything within a realistic distance is a six month wait. I’ve had my permit for two years and I’m well over 18, so it’s not still on the cooldown. How could this be?? I need my licenses ASAP, any tips?
