Since inheriting my dad’s shoddy work vehicle, my mate and I have gone on numerous road trips. It’s been used and abused and has a significant amount of chassis corrosion. Because of its sentimental value, I'd like her to be used for more unforgettable road trips.
She's still puffing along, but has significant structural corrosion.
The question I put forward today is: at what point has a car lost its DNA?
For example, replacing the engine, the bodywork, or even the interior panels and steering wheel?
Is it the Idiosyncrasies from worn-out and weathered use which give a car personality? My car has fun ‘quirks’ puffing out big clouds of black smoke and some frustrating ‘quirks’ which have led to some unforgettable memories (for better or for worse)… (definitely worse)
If two people had £100,000 and combined to make a £200,000 portfolio.
After 10 years for example, would each investor make more money?
I have a Kiam 3000 pressure washer with about 2 hours of total use.
My pressure washer keeps bogging down when I fully open the choke. My initial analysis was that the flow rate from the tap was too low.
Taking it to my neighbours with a perfectly sufficient flow rate, I incurred the same problem.
My new analysis was that the petrol pressure washer didn’t like E10 petrol.
I drained it and replaced it with E5.
It ran alright for about 1 minute then bogged down. Now I am here.
ChatGPT thinks it’s my carb is clogged. Perhaps this is from leaving E10 in my jet wash for too long. I must’ve left it in for about a week or two.
I don’t want to be going about ordering bits and pieces to clean it when in actuality there isn’t anything wrong with it.
I’m wondering whether its clean appearance can be deceptive?
Can someone please help me?
Thanks in advance :)
