in my profile you can find my other post about the other copy i found (the $70 dollars one). this one definitely has a better condition front cover (the other copy had some spine ticks and a very small spine split on the top left that i was afraid could have extended). the copy in this post ($90) has a small defect on the bottom left, but i think it's a corner ding or corner wear, not a split (write in comments if this seems the case for you too). the back cover in the $90 copy isn't in great condition, but i care about the front cover more and it doesn't have defects that i think could get "worse" like the spine split on the other copy. please you guys, tell me what you think.

is $75 (€65) a good price for this book? it's rogue's first appearance.

i'll add i live in italy, so it's not that easy of a book to find unless you order it on ebay from sellers from the united states, which would cost me around additional €20 ($23) to ship it to my country.

after the most recent delay, what are your current box office predictions for 'the batman: part 2'?

the first movie grossed $772 million at the global box office, at a time when the box office was still impacted by covid-19 restrictions (i recall that in italy, my home country, restrictions in theaters were still very strict). the film only had a 45-day theatrical window before being released on hbo max in the united states and other streaming services abroad.

now, dc movies are struggling significantly at the overseas box office, but it’s important to keep in mind that i don’t think this is limited to dc alone—the fantastic four: first steps made only 47% of its gross overseas ( https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Fantastic-Four-The-First-Steps-(2025) ), while the rest came from the domestic market. spider-man: brand new day, on the other hand, is doing great at the box office overseas, so far 61% of its gross comes from international markets ( https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Spider-Man-Brand-New-Day-(2026) ) so perhaps the international box office is still strong for very popular characters—and even though batman obviously doesn’t have the same popularity as spider-man at this point (for example, the batman only made $25m in china, versus spider-man's $210m in just 19 days [ https://www.koimoi.com/box-office/spider-man-brand-new-day-china-box-office-falls-out-of-top-3-but-stays-strong-with-10m-3rd-weekend-eyes-f9s-lifetime-run-next/) ], but he’s still one of the most iconic superheroes of all time.

now let’s address the elephant in the room: the batman: part 2 will be released almost six years after the first film, and even though movies like across the spider-verse show that a long wait for a sequel doesn’t always hurt box office performance, six years is undeniably a very long time, and i think the movie would have probably been a bigger success had it released in 2025/2026. that said, matt reeves’ the batman is still very much alive in pop culture discussions from what i see, and i think pattinson is much more popular now as an actor than he was in 2022.

in addition, the penguin tv series on hbo max was a big hit (at the time of its release, it was the third-most-watched series ever on hbo max, behind house of the dragon and the first season of the last of us) and led many people who had missed it in theaters to stream the batman. so, with all of that said, what are your current predictions for the movie’s worldwide gross? i’m predicting $750-900m ww.

where can i find the first 'the odyssey' teaser that played in theaters one year ago?

i'm talking about the first ever teaser that played in theaters alongside jurassic world: rebirth showings. i don't necessarily want an high definition version of it, a phone recording will do. i hope someone still has it. thanks in advance.

here's the link to a variaty article talking about that trailer ( https://variety.com/2025/film/news/christopher-nolan-odyssey-teaser-leaks-online-first-footage-1236445352/ )

here's the descripition:

the teaser, which is 70 seconds long, briefly shows matt damon’s lead character odysseus, his son telemachus (played by tom holland) and a mystery character played by jon bernthal. it begins with some narration by what sounds like robert pattinson, who also plays an unknown character.

“darkness. zeus’ laws smashed to pieces. a kingdom without a king since my master died,” he says over shots of a dark blue ocean and waves crashing along the sandy shore. “he knew it was an unwinnable war, and then somehow…somehow he won it.”

there are two shots of what appears to be the famous trojan horse — odysseus’ master plan to sneak greek soldiers into troy, massacre the soldiers and sack the city to win the war. the wooden horse’s shadow is stretched across the beach, then the horse itself is seen at a distance half-submerged in water as waves roll in. in homer’s original epic, odysseus’s journey home takes ten years after his ship is blown off course and he encounters monsters like the cyclops, is held captive by the nymph calypso, and has run-ins with various greek gods.

the teaser then cuts to a tense conversation between telemachus and bernthal’s character, where the latter is explaining that he doesn’t know odysseus’ whereabouts.

“i know nothing of odysseus, not since troy,” bernthal says as a dark storm rolls in over the water.

“i have to find out what happened to my father. when did you last see him?” holland replies. he and bernthal are next to each other with other characters sitting beside them in the background, lit up by dim orange flames.

“interested in rumor, huh? gossip. who has a story about odysseus, huh?” bernthal begins shouting to the others near them. “you? you have a story?” there’s a shot of greek soldiers clad in armor and carrying torches marching through a city street at night.

the white words “one year from now” appear on the black screen, teasing the film’s far-off release date.

“some say he’s rich or some say he’s poor,” he continues as a faraway shot shows a greek soldier stepping through a cavernous entrance and unsheathing his sword. “a journey begins” is shown on screen.

“some say he perished. some say he’s imprisoned. what say you?” bernthal asks over a shot of men walking toward a city at night as a ragged flag waves.

“imprisoned?” telemachus asks.

“what kind of prison? good, old man like that,” bernthal says. there are a couple more shots of dark waves, and then it’s revealed that odysseus is stranded in the middle of the ocean on some scraps of wood. “the odyssey” and “17. 07. 26” flash on screen, ending the teaser.

wtf did i just watch

i'm in awe. this is -along with pta's one battle after another and villeneuve's dune part two- the best blockbuster of this decade so far. it's fresh, modern and political yet faithful to the source material. all of the cast is amazing. i'm a huge robert pattinson fan and i think he's the best actor of his generation, and while he did an incredible job as antinous, i think the best supporting actors in the movie are john leguizamo and samantha morton. odysseus' monologue in which he tells penelope about the siege of troy is the best scene in the movie—it's masterful.

the only thing that kind of bugged me about the movie is the aftermath to circe transforming odysseus' crew in pigs. the scene itself is amazing, it really left me without breath, but the scene right after they turned back into humans was a bit anticlimactic. they didn't seem shocked or traumatized enough. this is my only gripe with this otherwise perfect film. i know a lot of people will think i'm exaggerating, but I'm 18, and I think this is one of those cinematic experiences that change your life.

did i make a mistake by buying the physical version of arkham collection?

hi, i'm a very casual gamer (i haven't really played videogames in a few years) and i bought a second hand physical version of arkham collection for PS4. it doesn't include arkham knight because the digital code for it has already been used (it wasn't a problem for me because i paid just 5$ for this, i'll buy arkham knight separately). the real problem is that I've seen a lot of people complaining that the downloads in the pshysical arkham collection are really slow, and that some content is missing even in the first two games. us that true? i've also heard that arkham knight was pretty buggy at launch and that it’s improved a lot with patches. when i eventually buy arkham knight, should i get the digital version so i have all the patches? keep in mind i have a PS4, not a PS5. thank you!
