The door part of the security chain on my motel's door was installed backwards.

It's supposed to go the other way, so an intruder can't reach through and unhook it as easily.

Scuba diving for megalodon teeth!

I'm going scuba diving for megalodon teeth in Venice, FL next week, and I'm so excited I can hardly see straight. I just wanted to tell somebody. :)

Dude, Walter, and Donnie are nice to Marty

I think my favorite thing about our heroes is that they are nice to Marty. They go to see his dance quintet, you know, his cycle. They don't make fun of him to his face or behind his back. Walter even wears a suit! They do talk during the performance a bit, but broadly, they came out to show support for Marty in the spirit in which he wanted: to give him notes.

How soon can we hold, for real, and why not sooner?

Hello, we got a corn snake yesterday, and my kid really really wants to hold it. We know you're not supposed to hold them right off the bat, and have read you're supposed to wait a week or even longer. We're trying to hold off, but we're having a hard time understanding the rationale. Are there scientific studies that have been done where they bite X% more, a year from now, for each day less than a week, etc., or is it just sort of broad guidance based on long-time corn snake owner intuition? Any guidance that would help us either a) understand why we need to hold off, or b) feel better about holding it now, would be very welcome! Thanks in advance!
